Came in again for lunch on my monthly trip to Laredo. I had the normal sampler platter I always get however, waitress dropped off my food and tea and never returned. I ran out of tea about halfway through my meal and could not even see her to flag her down. Normally they have pretty good service when I visit. I also noticed the sampler platter was much smaller portions than it ha been in the past. Not sure if this is a trend or just happen to be a bad day for them. Guess I'll find out next month when I come back. However if it's still the same I may have to change this as one of my go to restaurants to somewhere else.Back again for March. New waiter so let's see how it goes. Much faster service this visit. Like the music today as well. Food was excellent and service was as well. Glad they are back on track as I really enjoy lunch here when in Laredo.

This place is always fun to visit. Tucked away in a Mexican spice store amongst many antique pieces. The menu is limited but everything is good to very good. Great place to have lunch.

I came here with a group called Zapata Fun Tours we had lunch and it was awesome.I had the extra special number one which is a half a sandwich and soup or salad. I chose the tuna and a salad. it was just the right amount of food and I typically am not a curry fan but this had just the right amount of flavor and was very tasty. The house's architecture is very interesting as it is a very old home and the owner gave us an informative talk on spices and uses

This restaurant looks like a house from the outside. The food was good but there was very few waiters so it took a while to get your drinks refilled. The sauce that they use is very unique, it's a mixture of chocolate and spice. Caution: Your clothes will smell like Indian spices after coming here.

I feel like I'm in my grandmother's house. The smell of spices lifts your mood. This restaurants is nestled inside a former house that belonged to the founder of La India Packing Company. The service is of course, awesome!! Try the enchiladas callejeras. The chicken and tuna sandwiches are perfect for a light dinner. Get the beans with rice in a cup (el tipico) ...THE ROAST CHICKEN IS AWESOME, TOO! - Jesse Castaneda, Jr Castaneda Bail Bonds & Frontera Bail Bonds 2020 Chihuahua Laredo, Texas http://www.empowernetwork.com/almostasecret.php?id=howtogetmoney

Sooo flavorful and cute. You have to ring the doorbell to get in like a real house. My favorites are the following: tostadas (they come in 3s and will get you plenty full), mole is amazing, chicken salad (has a touch of curry for mind blowingness), the small sampler for those that can't make up their mind. also, order the tangerine key lime pie before leaving!

Sadly they took 25 mins for the enchiladas. It was evident that the meal was cold and they had forgotten about the order

I went with a couple if freinds and wasn't impressed at all. The place was full with layers, jugdes and buisiness professionals so I thought the food should be great. I was wrong. Sure the place has some historic charm to OT but the food was mediocre at best. I had the sample platter that had a bit of everything. Nothing was above "ok" in taste. Don't get me wrong nothing was bad, just not good enough.
