I moved into these apartments with my partner coming from San Antonio. The move in was easy and had no issues, now a year later we have enjoyed our time at the complex, it does have some quirks but overall is a quiet nice place to live.

12:55 AM April 16th, 2020 and the Valet trash missed our apartment at the summit again.. this is not the first time. The neighbors trash is picked up (maybe they brought it inside) but I'm still pissed about it. They're charging me for this service and they are not performing to the standard I expect. Staff is friendly, but thata probably the only thing they have going for them, that said, valet services needs to commit or they should remove that charge and I'll be more than happy to take my own trash out at no extra cost! The whole trash situation is probably the main thing I dislike here. I know it's not The Summits fault since they are a hired outside company but it's such a let down when I get home after having my trash outside right at 6PM (or a little after, pick up is around 8ish) and it's still sitting there by 1AM... what am I paying for? This is not an unknown issue.

I would like to start this review with the good, the staff here are extremely friendly and professional. I always had a great interaction with the members of the office and the maintenance guys. The apartments are also in a great location, close to everything you could need. Now to the problems. The bill pay for these apartments is clunky and not very user friendly. It is a half assed web browser that is missing the most basic functions like showing you what you owe or auto pay. It has multiple categories for what you can label your payment as which makes no sense. Why do I need an option to pay an application fee online 6 months after I have moved in. Also having to wait to get your bill in the mail before setting up your payment is very annoying especially considering every other online bill pay application shows what you owe on the application. Next is the parking lot. Do not live here if you have a nice vehicle. The spots are way too small, you will have multiple dings from other tenants car doors and no one will even attempt to leave you their insurance information. You can try to park in the middle of the complex every day where there are few cars but you will be walking to your apartment and that is still no guarantee that your car is safe because the parking lot fills completely up most nights. Also there is a very deep drainage grate that will cause problems for vehicles that are low to the ground. Inside the apartment are a plethora of issues. The floors in my unit were cheep laminate that started coming up just a few weeks after I moved in and there were large divits in the floor throughout the unit. The countertops are made of the material you use to coat a garage floor. It is rough and not nice to look at and I am certain it holds bacteria in the nooks and crannies. There were large sections of the apartment that did not have any ventilation to include the bathroom and walk in closet. The insulation in my unit left a lot to be desired, I had huge temperature swings throughout the day without adjusting my thermostat. I could have one room ice cold and another be 10 to 15 degrees warmer. There were always ants even after having pest control come. The valet trash can be very finicky. I had an issue with them not taking boxes that I had filled with other broken down boxes and then taped shut per their instruction. The office staff worked with me to resolve my issue but it was annoying especially considering there was no option to not have the service. The hot water tank is small and you cannot run the dishwasher if you plan on taking a hot shower. Also the sink would sometimes get back flow when the dishwasher was running. Dog owners also were not very considerate. The grassy areas often had doggie waste all over. The complex attempted to cut down on this by issuing a sort of bounty on these dog owners. If you got a picture of an owner leaving their doggie mines all over you would get money off your next rent bill. In theory this was a great idea but it definitely was more likely to turn neighbors against each other than to stop the dog poo problem. The pool area was cleaned but there was at least one instance of a floating bathing suit in the pool for an entire day. Not sure why someone would leave their bathing suit in a public pool that other children play in every day unless they are just very inconsiderate which seems likely considering the number of dings in my car from other car doors and I don't understand why it wasn't removed out of the public pool for the better part of a day.In closing, the complex has a lot of issues including the other tenants that will be your neighbors. The staff was for me the only real redeeming quality.

Moved into the Summit Apartment complex a couple of weeks ago. Moved in site unseen since we relocated from Colorado. Had a few issues that the ladies in the office were super helpful with. They are always really friendly and ready to help. Also the maintenance staff are also extremely friendly and very helpful. Glad we pick this property, it is also in a great location. Near a lot of store and restaurants and its definitely a nice part of town.

I have been here for two years now. I LOVE IT! I was moving from dallas and I chose these apartments. Ashley and Claudia were super nice!! Even being in Dallas and not able to see the community, they worked with me, sent me pictures, and met to my family's need. The maintenance men are incredible and super nice too. Though, work orders are not needed much here, they are always willing to help and come through immediately when there are needed. The summit apartments is in the middle of all your shopping needs, eateries, 30 minutes from the beach, and even closer commute to the university! I could not ask for more. It's family orientated yet quiet for the couples/ singles. We have build a home here and met some friends. Thank you all who work here!!! You all work so hard and it Shows! :)

I lived there for a year and just recently moved out. Apartment was reasonably priced and decently sized. The apartment got super hot ALL the time. Maintenance checked on it and there was never any changes. Electric bill was always outrageous. Never really had any problems while living here. Cars in the parking lot often looked old and beat up. We had a dead rat in our a/c and maintenance took care of it immediately.

I recently went thru a major life change and was on the hunt for something very specific! It's just my dog and I so I needed a one bedroom with the largest closet possible , which usually is hard to find especially in one bedrooms and apartments in general. I prefer the lifestyle of a smaller apartment community & preferred a place that had been redone/upgraded & still had the basic amenities such as a nice, clean pool & 24 hour fitness center. I wanted a place to start my life over without paying an arm and a leg while still being on the south side of town. I looked at so many 1 bedroom apartments and this was by far the largest one bedroom with the same size closet all the new complexes had if not bigger! The only difference is you are paying a lot more elsewhere because places such as "Sage" or "Copper Ridge" (which are beautiful) are a lot newer and have more amenities that were not a necessity to me such as a super fancy pool and dog park. For the price I pay for rent and fees compared to their prices and fees I can say I 100% made the right decision because I wouldn't even be using those ammenities enough for me to be paying literally hundreds more per month! They are beyond affordable for the space you get, how they have been redone, the great southside location (which wasn't even a mile from the other complexes btw)....you still have 2 nicely kept pools, a 24 hour fitness center and what sold me was they have 2 tennis courts AND for my dog I absolutely love how my one bedroom has a huge backyard patio with a very nice sized backyard with grass over looking the beautiful country club golf course...& I have a 2nd smaller patio connected to my bedroom! I have almost been there 2 weeks and I submitted a request to have some things done...and it was complete the very next day! Sarah, the assistant manager, answered all my million questions and was more than helpful in this process of trying to find a home:) If you are looking for something like I was...you won't regret looking into their largest 1 bedroom floorplan called " The Oxford":)

Claudia was very helpful with my friend when he was looking for a place. Unfortunately the neighbors are not so friendly. They are constantly complaining. I get it and I understand how difficult apartment living is. It's impossible to keep everyone happy. But management needs to get a handle on the complaints and attend to those that are legitimate. He has been there two months and already had the constable knocking at his door, upstairs neighbor doesn't like the smell of BBQ, etc. Comes home from work and there are letters tape to his door by management. Enough is Enough harassment needs to stop. If the neighbors are unhappy then why don't they move out and quit harassing those that like living there. He is constantly being harassed and what I mean by that there are letters tape to his front door.

First off the picture of the pool is Very Inaccurate. The 4-5 pieces of lawn furniture are not like what's shown nor is the landscaping. It takes repeated phone calls emails to get a maintenance person to look into any maintenance issues. Our bathtub has been leaking water on the floor & has been for about a month. Maintenance came out about a week ago & sealed the bathtub which lasted about 2 days. We informed them that it was leaking again a few days ago & they have yet to come back to see why it's leaking. Also, we informed them in November that when it rains you can hear the rain hitting the inside of the chimney which is quite annoying & nothing has been done. Grande is the only cable tv company due to an exclusive agreement with Grande. Usually when that is the case the cost of the service is cheaper but not here. They came & did a minor repair last week and they are charging us for the repair. Definitely not right. In the 30 plus years that I have used Spectrum they have never charged me to repair THEIR equipment & they still Don't!!! Grande is 60$ more & their cable is not nearly as good as Spectrum cable

I moved into The Summit in June 2019 and have had a pleasant experience here so far. Service orders are finished very quickly and efficiently, which is a plus. Also, the office staff Claudia and Manager Kristen are very nice and willing to assist.
