The Spanish Room Restaurant

Was staying at a nearby hotel and came here for a weekday dinner. The place was pretty empty so I was seated immediately. ATMOSPHERE: There are seats inside the hotel lobby as well as a dedicated area for the restaurant. Plenty of free parking in the adjacent garage. I thought the place felt historic and cozy, and I liked that it was not crowded or packed.FOOD: I got the honey sriracha "jumbo" wings. They were good, crispy and flavored nicely. They were not "jumbo" at all, they were just normal wings. I did like that they came with a bunch of fries, and you can ask for ranch on the side. I also ordered a bartender's choice cocktail - they currently do not have a cocktail menu. The drink was pretty standard.SERVICE: Really kind. The bartender gave me a ton of local recommendations for restaurants and places to see and was always available for requests.PRICE/VALUE: The place was a bit overpriced for me. The wings were $11 for 6 wings, and the drink was $11. There are other places in the area with better prices for the portions given.Overall, this isn't a "must-try" if in the area, but definitely still a solid option for dinner in a nice, historic-feeling setting.

I have breakfast at this restaurant. The service is outstanding. They offer a buffet but I always choose the huevos ranchero.

I didn't get to try the food but the drinks were amazing. Coronado the bartender is so nice and inviting. I could talk to him for hours! The special handcrafted cocktails he made were the best I've ever tasted. I can't wait to come back to get more cocktails & try the food.

Absolutely fabulous. It is an intimate restaurant and great for small to medium groups. The food is well prepared and professionally served.I think it would be very difficult to disappoint.

In the Doubletree, live music on a Wednesday! HH specials were good. In the atrium of the hotel so ok surroundings. Plenty of seating too.

An Oasis!!! A Quiet Place to Dine with Friends and Family.This is an update. This year it was even better. The basics of my first review remain.One additional star was added for superb service. Richard, Noemi, Martha and Marivel were perfect hosts.The menu has expanded to include traditional Mexican dishes.The Spanish Room is the Restaurant at the Renaissance Hotel. It's a small restaurant with a very accommodating staff. If you want to dine in lea sure with friends, this is the place to go.The best way to describe it: it's as a dining room of your home. It is a place to sit with friends. There is a chef that can make accommodations to your meal. We had "picky" eaters. The pasta had to be pure, just pasta. They can do that.The food is much better than one would expect from a corporate chain. The chicken panini has a breast of chicken that was double sliced. So often there is one thick slab of chicken that is hard to bite. The one we order was good. Other items were a Diablo Shrimp salad. All the food was good.Breakfast was buffet style. Eggs (2 styles), bacon, potatoes, beans, muffins, bagels, fruits, oatmeal, pastries, etc. The bacon was especially good.Spend a weekend at the Renaissance and the restaurant staff become very familiar with your habits. Thanks to Noemi on the breakfast shift and to Marivel on the dinner shift for being so accommodating. They transitioned to our needs seamlessly.I was up early while the breakfast buffet was being laid out. Richard, the manager, was nice enough to bring coffee to the bar while I waited for the buffet to be ready.The Staff of Spanish Room forThe Renaissance Hotel are most accommodating.

This is my favorite breakfast place especially if I want to impress a client or coworker. Any breakfast dish you may want, they have. Great atmosphere and service.

Excellent service!! So polite and welcoming. The Chicken Almandine is delectable, with the Amaretto Sauce... delicious!

You know it's not real Mexican food when we ask for chips and she brings us two bags of kettle chips and two bags of pretzels.The food was ok, but pretty boring taste-wise.

Ceviche Tacos are delicious! Wanted a semi lighter dinner and these were just enough! I paired it with a delicious house made Sangria! The perfect treat! One of my favorite local hotels. Very quaint and cozy!
