The Slip

Tremendous surprise! This bar is tucked away but it's worth a visit. The service was outstanding and pleasant. Good drink prices and a nice place to hang out.

I stopped by The Slip to pickup a friend and sat down and had a glass of water while I waited! While I was waiting someone accidentally broke a glass and the bartender came unglued screaming at the people that were trying to clean up the glass! One of the lady patrons sitting at the bar told the bartender to calm down! He was screaming in our ears crazy loud! The bartender goes on to tell the lady patron to shut the fuck up that no one tells him what to do in his fucking bar! I have never seen a bartender treat patrons like that at all ever! This bartender apparently has anger issues and needs some customer service etiquette classes!He was so rude and disrespectful! And anyone that questions him about his actions he proceeded to close them out! Why would anyone want to spend their money at place where the bartender has issues! I will never go back there! If you want to be treated disrespectful this your place to go!!!

Accidentally stumbled upon this place to go to guajillo's. There was a wait for guajillo's and we left Bc I didn't want to pay 20 for a plate but I'll pay 20 for a couple of drinks. Good vibes, pet friendly, nice staff, decent prices for drinks... would definitely come back

Great time at a new bar. One of those that you have to give a chance. Calm environment with 12 beer taps, pool tables, darts and etc.

Rude staff. I usually like dive bars but this one was inconsiderate and unwelcoming. No smiles in here. Just sad people and the music only plays if you put money into the machine. Otherwise there is just awkward silence. This place sucks.

Great hideaway bar under new ownership. It's nice to see real bartenders owning and operating a bar who know what patrons desire including fast service with a smile. The Mexican food restaurant next door is a plus for take out. John

Extremely cold beer, great AC, and just great atmosphere. It's a dive bar but the best on the Island. Great summer experience.

The Slip is just what the Island needed. Super clean, cold beer and great service from Liz. Good beer prices and a great variety of local beers. The hubs and I have been here a few times and will be back again. Pool tables, shuffle board, Golden Tee, and Touch tunes available to play. Check it out.

Nice clean bar. Lots of beer on tap. Only complaint is the young waitress spent her time with a young man at the end of the bar. I assume a friend of hers. There were 4 other people in the place that she ignored.
