I could stay at this spot all day and be happy as a clam . It's the beautiful wooden, classy bar inside the Lighthouse.)I was helped by a very friendly bartender named Mark. He let me know about the happy hour specials and gave me great recommendations for spots to check out while in the area. The bar attracts both locals and people passing through, so it's always an interesting crowd.I tried the mini Cordon Bleu and cheesesticks... both on happy hour special, and they were delicious! I hope to try their burger or redfish poorboy next time I'm around. I also had a couple Jameson concoctions that were wonderful. They have great specials on their beer and the liquors are pretty limited, but all your basics are there. This place is consistent in quality and friendly service from the four times I've been here, and I look forward to going back next time I'm in the area.

The Palm Room is a convenient amenity for folks staying at the Lighthouse Inn at Aransas Bay. In the morning, it's a breakfast buffet for hotel guests, and in the afternoon and evening it's happy hour and dinner service for the public. The location is outstanding, with rows of windows facing the water and wide views of the bay. The hotel is designed in Victorian style, and the lounge features wood beams, plush upholstery, and antique photographs showcasing local history. The menu at the Palm Room has options for lots of tastes. We were craving seafood, so we ordered redfish -- you can choose blackened seasoning or lemon pepper. The first was fresh and tender, with just the right amount of seasoning. Our group also enjoyed the hamburger and the club salad. We appreciated how our server listened carefully to our orders and tailored the the dishes to our needs. Like the hotel, it's a small but mighty team that keeps this place running. They seem to have good morale and attention to detail, and it pays off in helping visitors feel truly welcomed and relaxed.I'm looking forward to coming back to Rockport and bringing more family members to the Palm Room.

Good restaurant in The Lighthouse Inn. Only open for service at nights, the fish and steak specials shine. Call ahead for steak as it comes with a baked potato and servings are limited each night. There's a full bar and service is good. You'll want to remember that servers are in short supply throughout the region so bring a patient approach or try them when you are not in a hurry.

Delicious!! We are on a mini vacation and stopped for the night , the restaurant has a beautiful view and the staff is super pleasant. Our bartender was very busy but yet very attentive and polite . He was extremely informative about the meals that we choose. I had lobster bisque!! It was delicious I never finish my food and I finished this ! We had a few appetizers and they were good but the soup had my attention.. we then shared the grilled red snapper, we ate every bit of that fishy. Thanks for the delicious dinner that we so needed after eating convenience store food all day !!

Beautiful inn and great resturant. Outstanding view of the gulf at almost ever table. Awesome little well stocked bar right off the open wall resturant area. A nice air of sophistication without being stuffy. We ordered potato skins, blackened red fish and fried shrimp. Asked to sub out the cole slaw for a dinner salad. The dressings for the salad we're clearly House made with the blue cheese being outstanding. The balsamic vinaigrette was also very good. While we were very happy with the Blackened Redfish it was our second option since we were craving a steak and ordered the only one they had on the menu. Unfortunately after a good period Of time our server came back and said that they were out of steak. Okay - so I get that sometimes this happens. The only reason why we didn't rate this restaurant a five star was because of the service. It was extremely polite however very inefficient for the server we had. I'm not sure that she is worked in a service industry or waiting tables before because she definitely zigzagged across the restaurant forgetting things on a regular basis. We had to remind her multiple times of things. Additionally when we were ready to cash out it literally took us about 15 minutes to have her bring the check. She tucked it underneath her arm and continue to do other things in the restaurant ping-pong back and forth until he brought us our receipt. Again, as I noted in other reviews we are nearing post covid and realizing the service industry has suffered with no available workers for very very new workers. This coupled with the fact that we weren't in a hurry was slightly humorous but not so frustrating. If we had been in much more of a rush we would have found it frustrating. That said, we would definitely eat here again because of the quality of the food and the friendly although very slow service. The food came out nice and hot so it was not like it was sitting in the back for any extended period of time.

We called to find there was only one other table full so we didn't have to sit in a packed restaurant with patrons NOT following Covid procedures as we had found throughout the night searching for a place to safely eat.It was my husband's birthday and the girls wanted to take him someplace fancy. Honestly I was craving seafood, which the menu is limited with so I picked the chicken. The menu was one page of sandwiches, entrees and appetizers, with only a fried fish if I recall right. We got there an hour before closing and the host and servers were so fabulous and accommodating. This is paulina. She only eats tenders and fries....unless it's plain spaghetti. I ordered her a real plate to which she rolled her eyes--until it arrived. "Mom. Taste the chicken." "Whats wrong with it?" "Just taste it". The chicken had a perfect blend of spices and so tender! For once my kid didn't scrape the pepper off of her meat and ate her salad and green beans. Those green beans sautéed just right so I was able to get the Entire family (husband too) to eat his veggies. The ranch dressing was house, I'm sure of it. The server packed the bourbon pecan pie slice to go for us...which I ate for breakfast. The first bite was a kick of booziness and not overly sweet like pecan pies tend to go....it was so good, I only left a bite for the birthday boy.

Relaxing place to have a drink. Might try to go back for happy hour, as the only items suitable for vegetarians on the menu appear to be appetizers...

Great place to have a drink. Comfortable seating, excellent bar service and nice view of the bay. Considering the limited menu, small staff and the quality of the food, not your best choice in Rockport/Fulton to dine.
