5/5, Breakfast, all day hot beverage bar, and service5/5, View4/5, Lighted fishing pier3/5, Housekeeping: One of the days room service just brought our placard back into the room but didn't do anything... no fresh towels, no beds made. Figured it was because the kid's toys and clothes were on the floor. We tidied up the following morning and room was cleaned.

The llady at the front desk was accommodating and friendly when we checked in early. So appreciated! Beautiful location and amenities. Only disappointment was when we went to go down to the bar area for a cocktail at 8:15 p.m. in the evening we were quickly turned away by the bartender that told us that because they had been slow this evening they were closing early and couldn't help us. They were supposed to be open until 9 p.m. according to what we were told when we checked in, and there was still a couple sitting at the bar at the time. Very disappointing, and poor customer service. She could have at least served us one cocktail and told us that they were closing early instead of just turning us away.

Friends recommend that we stay at the Lighthouse Inn during our visit to Rockport--they specifically mentioned the breakfast buffet--and we're glad we did. Once we got settled in, I noticed that the staff seemed to have higher morale and a genuine desire to be of service. Combined with the high quality of the facilities, it made for a great experience. We stayed on the pool side for convenience; for a slightly higher price, you can choose a room on the bay side. You can also enjoy the bay views from the Palm Room restaurant, where we had breakfast every day. We also had dinner there one night and enjoyed the selections of fish, seafood, vegetables, fries, etc. The lobby has a coffee bar that's always prepped for guests. The building has Victorian styling and a historic feel, but it was built in 2003 and rebuilt after Hurricane Harvey (2017), so you get the best of both worlds -- larger rooms, modern conveniences like mini fridges and microwaves. The library room has books and games to grab. There are laundry and fitness rooms, too. On this stretch of Rockport-Fulton there's nearby the Fulton Mansion to visit, Charlotte Plummers seafood restaurant, golf cart rentals at Duck Blind (so you can drive your sandy selves to and from Rockport Beach), boat tours, kayak rentals, etc.--lots of experiences to try. Or you can sit in a lounge chair and stare at the bay.

Always a favorite when staying in Rockport. As far as hotels go, this is really your only choice on the water. There's a full bar and restaurant for evening meals.Breakfast is included in a quasi-buffet style and they recently added many additional options to the souvenir / food store.Staff is friendly, especially Diane the Tues-Sat bartender.1st floor bayside rooms are the best with walk out patios to the private pier and water views. The poolside is nice but perhaps a little more noisy given the location.Restaurant options are solid and walkable including: Boiling Pot, Sushi Luck, Cheryl's, Hu Dat/Benchwarmers and Moon Dog. It really is a gem.

The hubs and I decided we'd spend Christmas weekend at the Lighthouse Inn this year (2021). We've stayed at this motel a couple times before and we've enjoyed it each time. The employees are all very friendly, from the front desk to housekeeping to the servers, chef and bartenders. The rooms are comfortable and were completely redone after hurricane Harvey (2017) did a whole lot of damage to most of the motel. Come on down to Rockport, TX and stay at The Lighthouse Inn. You'll enjoy it.

I know nothing about staying here or the rooms. I do know about the bar and restaurant here. The lobby and bar areas are elegant. Very nice. Short menu but excellent food. Blackened redfish is excellent and inexpensive. Chicken breast dinner same thing. Philly is very good. Happy hour M-Th 5-7. $5 appetizers. Egg rolls are fancy and very good. Dinner 5-8 only. The steak & lobster special was recommended to me by another diner. It looked really inviting. The bar/restaurant manager was very friendly and helpful.

Stayed here two nights to meet people in town. I was underwhelmed. Not impressed. I reserved king room but not sure how I ended up with a handicap access room. Bathroom was filthy and something on the floor was dangerously slippery. I told the front desk and they said put the sign out and someone will clean the floor. Upon returning that night the floor was worse! Luckily I did not fall but had to be really careful. There was also a foul smell. Next time I will shop around a little more. The only positive was ppl were friendly and the view was pretty.

I have stayed at The Lighthouse Inn a total of 5 times. It has the best views, and sitting by the bay in one of the lawn chairs is my favorite thing to do. The downsides of this hotel are the minimal sound proofing between rooms as others have mentioned, and they do have a problem with controlling the mildew. Checking in the last time, I had to ask for a different room twice because the rooms they put me in had visible mildew on the walls and my nose instantly reacted because I am allergic. I also think a huge downfall is that they allow kids. If this was an adult only hotel they could charge twice as much. Trying to enjoy the pool is impossible with kids around, and there were kids yelling and running down the hallway which ruins it for those trying to have a quiet serene getaway.
