The Food Hut

We have heard so much about the Food Hut, we just had to try it. We left Austin early so that we could hit the food hut before they ran out of BBQ. We got there just in time and ordered the brisket sandwich with honey BBQ sauce and a side of beans and rice. The sandwich was so good, you could have enjoyed it without the BBQ sauce, but that's not the way I roll. The beans and rice might have been the best tasting beans and rice I've ever had. I didn't know that beans could taste that good. The owners made sure that we had everything we need to enjoy our meal and we throughly enjoyed meeting all of the locals who frequently eat at the food hut. If you're in Port A, you have to try it before they run out,.... plus you're never more than 7/10's of a mile away!

It is great! Everything I have has has been mouth watering melt in your mouth GOOD! I am addicted to the Mac and cheese with smoked brisket on top. Amazing. Taco salad also excellent. I Am becoming a regular. Tge proportions and cost are fantastic too. I just found out today from the owner that they make doggy bowls there too. Can't beat this place.

Omgoodness what can I say. It is the best brisket ever ! I've had it on a loaded baked potato, a brisket quesadilla which also comes with a bowl of queso. Their crispy tacos are "crispy" and you have a choice of brisket, chicken or sausage. Mac n cheese is the bomb. Highly recommended!
