The Comma Spa

I did a walk in because I was literally across the street getting a facial and i was recommended to come to The Comma Spa. Im soo glad I did!! The staff was very nice from front desk to the nail tech. They also offer great variety when it comes to drinks as your getting your nails done as you can see got an iced matcha. As i sat waiting for my nail tech to come back with the stuff he was to use in my package...another staff member dropped off a cookie... its the small details that count. :) ... The Comma Spa offers great srvice and great massage chairs, will definitely come again whenever Im in Corpus again.

I went for a pedicure before I have my son this Tuesday and it was perfect. Nina did my pedicure and I got the spoil me, $45 pedicure. I loved every step! They give you a complimentary drink and I just got water but I saw cute cocktails and iced coffee was also served. I will definitely be trying one of those on my next visit after baby! The vines were great, not too bright and relaxing music was playing. Nina was very nice and helpful, she did not try to push extras on me and did a great job as it's been YEARS since my last pedicure. I can't wait to go back for my nails and many pedicures in the future. :)

Worst experience. Had to redo pedicure nail polish several times because of lumps. Heels still dry and rough feeling. Left some toes unpolished had to remind them to finish. Promised color match, color was way off. Lumpy, uneven, thick nails. Asked to soak off. Left hands dry. The quality is definitely not the same. Still had to pay full price for all services even after owner said he was gonna make it right. Not recommending or going back.

Excellent service! We loved the convenience of making an appointment. The quality of the pedicures we received and how attentive the staff was made it worth the trip . We will return !

I just had the worst service ever! I went in, asked for the magnetic nail colors. Last time they referred to them as the "cat eye" where they apply a very glittery polish on top of SNS dip and use the magnet to create cool effect. I asked first, because I had an idea in mind- If I can use a specific fall color and add that on top- I was told yes. So, I pick out my color, and she goes to grab it. She brings the color and it looks nothing like what I picked. But I gave the benefit of the doubt and figured, maybe it needs a few coats. She tries it on a fake nail- shows me and I'm like "are you sure that's the right color" she rudely says yes and then I was like "im sorry I don't like it", so she just throws the fake nail on the floor. Cool... so back to picking a color- I choose another one and it's a deep maroon. She applies the magnet polish to show me and the nail goes completely silver!?!? I'm like no ma'am, that's not what I'm wanting. So she gets frustrated, I'm apologizing... which now that I think of it... WHY? So she brings the colors back AGAIN. This time just to avoid issues. I say look I'll just choose this/ this is exactly what I want (since clearly, I won't be able to get what I actually wanted). So she says fine. She asked if I wanted to cut my nails (natural nails) and I said just a little because they're not really long. She cuts the first one- it's fine and then she butchers the rest- I have stubs now.... So she files them, cuts the skin that connects to my nail and files it while it's throbbing!!! She does my nails, puts the SNS.. puts the magnet polish on- grabs the magnet, but puts a clear coat! Now before I move forward.. note I'm not a nail expert - I have no idea the steps necessary to achieve the look. So she puts my nails in the UV tells me to go wash them. I come back and she tells me "ok, thank you" and I'm like "what about the magnet?" She looked at me confused.. I'm like "when are you going to use the magnet" she gets all frustrated brings out the UV light and BLAMES ME BECAUSE I DIDNT TELL HER I WANTED TO USE THE MAGNET!!!!!! Ma'am, was that not the point!??? She said she would have to grind them and remove the polishes and coats... I'm like yeah we're done here. $60 for me to have stubs, splotchy polish, it looks like I got glitter polish and did it myself, throbbing fingers, non matching size CROOKED nails... I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE. I mean, if you're in a rush or don't want to do my nails correctly then quit your job. I spent my hard earned money to look like a dang fool.

Updating my review to share some photos of the nails I've gotten done here. I am always satisfied when I get my nails done by Jenny. I have been to a few different salons and Jenny's work is the only one that doesn't lift and lasts over 3 weeks each time. Highly recommend her!

Worst customer service experience.My friend and I have had the worst experience multiple times. We've gone a total of 2 visits to truly give it a chance and each time was worse. The place itself is decorated as a coffee shop which is fun, but you're not offered drinks unless requested which is kinda weird if you ask me.During my friends experience the technician was rude and even made her cry because she was so mean. All she wanted was a simple manicure but the lady continued to push her for a full set and was rude and aggressive when she wasn't satisfied with the color or shape.Each time I've gone, I've had to go back the day after for a repair or to fix the shape. I loved my nail tech customer service, but I've continued to find something wrong with my nails each time. The first time was my fault, they were far too long and I couldn't work with them. The second time, the tips weren't glued on properly so when washing my hands I could see the water going between my natural nail and the tip. Finally, I wanted to schedule to take off my tips the last couple of days and each time I call it rings until voicemail. My husband suggested he would call for me schedule an appointment, he called and surprisingly they answered almost immediately. He hung up as soon as they answered, and I called back to see if maybe they had just been busy during the times I've called - needless to say it rang until voicemail again. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. Do not let the visual aesthetics fool you, as a high paying customer - pay for quality service not decorations.

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. Every aspect of this spa is terrific! From the moment you walk in your body relaxes. The ambience is wonderful. It's dim, there's spa-sounds playing, you're greeted with a drink of your choice. The atmosphere does not feel like your typical nail salon at all!!! My nail tech was Emily and she did a wonderful job on my nails. She took her time shaping and filing them. She also helped me pick out the perfect colors to match my inspo-pic. I am very excited to come back and try their pedicures!

Amazing! I had the phenomenal Cleopatra pedicure and it was so perfect! The iced matcha was impeccable, too! I've never had gel nails and I absolutely love them. They have lasted me so long! Definitely will be back- if you want to feel like a queen - definitely get the Cleopatra pedicure it was a dream! Pic is my nails at 3 weeks!

The place is nice and the owner is awesome but the actual nail tech sucked! She talked the whole time to the other nail tech. I had to ask her several times to do what she was supposed to do. I might try this spa again but ask for someone else!
