Love the staff and Peter, all very friendly and helpful. We just bought a house in Rockport and wanted a golf cart for us and anyone renting our place, I had gone to several places looking for a cart that met my needs but all the other places tried to push me into a higher price units, so I went to the Cart Store and there was no pressure, Peter listen to me on what I wanted in a cart, showed me only the ones in my price range no up sale on a higher golf cart. When it is time to trade this one in they will be the first place i will shop

Thank You! Thank You! What an awesome experience. This is my first golf cart and Nick made it so easy. He was friendly and knowledgeable and answered my countless questions. I told him what I needed and he didn't try to up-sell me. I purchased a 2013 Yamaha electric cart which was delivered today beautifully detailed and serviced. Will definitely do business here again. Thanks again Nick!

Updated with greater detail, as Peter Benson responded with too many lies.We contacted Peter via phone to inquire about pricing for a new Yamaha 6 seater golf cart. We had shopped around locally and found a place selling them for $9500 inclusive of taxes. Peter stated he would match that price. At his shop we looked at new carts and drove one. We loved it. Peter also had two used carts prominently displayed in front of his shop. We inquired about them. He stated he would not recommend the red one as it had engine issues and was previously submerged in water, but directed us to another green one with custom paint and seating and Bluetooth stereo and stated he could fully support it for our stated use purposes. In fact, knowing that we would use it in a vacation rental, he suggested that used made more sense for us then buying new. We purchased the cart after he assured us it would serve us well. We had it delivered to our home and our neighbor looked it. He stated it was a liability. The cart had a completely rusted through frame with breaks. Upon that discovery we took the cart to a local mechanic, unassociated with any of the local cart stores. His first reaction was, this is a nice looking cart and I have never seen a Yamaha rust through. With these words he laid down and went to inspect the under carriage. He resurfaced, stating :" wow, they sure did a number on this one...it has got to be the worst frame I have ever seen, but they tried to cover it up". He then pointed out breaks and concerning issues, stating, this frame could collapse at any moment. Shocked, we called Peter. After numerous messages went unanswered, we made the trip to Rockport and confronted Peter at his store. At first he told us that's what 5k buy you. After a lengthy discussion that included him telling us he was happy to lawyer up and certainly would not return our money as we had asked for, he finally agreed to an exchange with another cart which was in pieces on his lawn. The only part we could inspect was the frame , which looked fine and given no other options we agreed to the trade. Peter made it clear that this cart was lesser than the originally purchased cart, as it did not have custom paint, custom seats or a stereo. We stated we were fine without bling, as long as the cart was mechanically and structurally sound. 2 weeks later the cart was delivered and looked much better than the first one. Little did we know that he literally put it together with spare parts he must have had around his place, regardless of condition. After two weeks of driving it, the king pin and shock broke down, while a customer of mine was driving, rendering it useless. We called the cart store letting them know of our issues. Peter was unavailable to deal with it and another guy, Scott, said they could get it for repair. He never offered this complimentary or as restitution for it being newly purchased, nor did he offer apologies or a sense of urgency. When we told him that as of this day the lack of a cart was costing us real money, as we had to rent from a local store to satisfy our customers, he still could not make this a priority or tell us when it could be looked at. This nonchalance, coupled with our first interaction with Peter left us wondering, what kind of "repair" we could look forward to , and made us decide it best to take the cart to a local shop willing to work with us quickly and reliably. We had the broken kingpin and shocks replaced and brakes adjusted, since they also had stopped working properly within two weeks of driving. Further checking revealed clutch issues, black spark plugs and piston issues. When it's all said and done we are going to spend at least another $1k to get this replacement cart truly road ready. Maybe more. Who knows what will reveal itself in a thorough check. Ever heard the expression " putting lipstick on pigs"? Apparently a specialty of Mr Peter Benson and the cart store , no matter whom you speak to in Port A, competitors, or locals - the opinion of Peter and the cart store is the same - we are so sorry you ever got involved with that business, this is unfortunately what they are known for.And to the customer who bought the used red 6 seater in June, that's the cart he told us to stay away from, as it was junk :)

We bought our first cart, a new Yamaha from The Cart Store in 2017. Harvey decided to smash it in a parking garage. We loved our little cart. We remembered Peter telling us he takes care of repeat customers. So we called Peter for a new replacement cart. We decided to get the 2018 6 seater by Yamaha. Peter stood by his word and totally took care of us! The transaction was quick and easy (great price) and we're the proud owners of a new golf cart. Thank you to everyone at The Cart Store.

We purchased our first golf cart from The Cart Store shortly before Peter purchased the store - it was a great purchase experience, and the service end fell to Peter, and it was a great service experience, too! After a few years we decided to upgrade our cart, so, of course, went back to The Cart Store where Peter and his staff were AWESOME! We received a fair price for our trade-in and a great price for our new cart, which we still have and love. If we have any kind of problem with the cart, The Cart Store gets right on it and takes care of it. We have a high regard for Peter and his staff and are very comfortable referring our friends and neighbors to them.

In my dealings with Peter Benson he has been knowledgeable, competent, honest, and helpful. I have always been completely satisfied and been left with the impression of having received a win/win deal. I'd go out of my way to take my cart business to Peter at "The Cart Store".
