Staff is friendly, coffee is delicious. Great place to study and do homework, and I love the atmosphere. Recommend.

the pics make it look cozier and more inviting than it is. i came in and waited at the counter for awhile before the lady washing dishes mere feet away turned around and acknowledged me. the other issue is power outlets. not every table has them, and ones that do are halfway up the wall. at least the cuban coffee was tasty.

Pretty good coffee in a strip center with easy parking. My only gripe is with their service and demeanor. Coffee: I'd rate it at 8.5 out of 10. Very good coffee and pretty consistent (I went there 3 times in the few days I was in town).Service: Leaves a lot to be desired. There was 1 guy working there that was friendly and professional. All of the young ladies working there though, were not friendly at all and acted like they had much better places to be and things to do. I don't know about the rest of you, but coffee is a huge part of my mornings and I do like to start the day on a friendly & positive note and appreciate when it's reciprocated, not ignored...The coffee is a little bit better at this location than their other shop (on Main St), but they lose on customer service and friendliness vs the Main St Box Coffee Bar.All in all, I'll come back next time I'm in town, but it would be reluctantly and only until I find another place with good coffee that comes with a smile (and a little pep in their step would be nice too)!(*My rating is based more on the coffee than the service, otherwise, 3 stars would be deserving.)

Everything about this place is quality. Nice staff, great equipment, clean and inviting. Nice music at a study level if you are into that. Pastry/food selection is somewhat thin but adequate. Locals are lucky to have this place.

Went in here bc I wanted a chill place to relax while driving down from Austin, and was craving an iced coffee.First impression: the girl working behind the counter would not turn around after I approached to order, and it took a few minutes for the guy to acknowledge my existence. I shrugged it off, though, as I thought maybe they just had a rough Friday afternoon. My order was simple, an iced coffee, and I asked if they had any non dairy cream or milk before they rang me out so they could charge me extra if needed. The dude working was one of very few words. Definitely gave an unwelcomed feeling.I guess they had to brew the coffee first, it did take a lot longer than an iced coffee normally took, but I was okay with this. I was looking forward to that refreshing zing of an energy boost!THE COFFEE WAS SO BAD, IT TASTED LIKE WATERED DOWN FOLGERS. Tip for the owners/employees: check the amount of coffee being used to brew each pot. If you are purposefully trying to cut corners here, it is showing.I really wanted to hang for a little before driving to Houston, but couldn't bring myself to waste anymore time in this small box of disappointment. If you are visiting Victoria, they have plenty of other pretty great spots.

What a hidden gem in Victoria! I love this place for studying/getting some work done in a cool environment. They have so many different flavors of coffee it's almost overwhelming! The staff is knowledgeable and pleasant so I'm sure they'd have no problem answering questions. I opted for an iced earl grey tea on this hot day-brewed perfectly and fresh. I was asked if I wanted it sweetened, but I declined. Choosing from their WIDE array of flavor combos was a challenge but I will be back to try their English breakfast tea. My tea was a good size and very fairly priced. They have outlets positioned at almost all the tables, so no need to worry about your laptop dying while using their free WiFi!

Where were these places when I was living there? I checked out The Box's new location when I returned home for Christmas and fell in love. With the menu, not so much. The environment, yes. I'm a tea drinker and the options were limited. The food selection in the evening was sparse too. However, none of that mattered because it was a quiet and quaint place to work. Which made up for everything else. Even when it filled up, it was still quiet enough to continue working. It's nothing like grand central station aka Starbucks. So I suggest giving it a shot. I'll definitely be back.

Love the coffee here. They roast their own coffee beans too! Love the vibe here, very quiet so can you can get work done here. And as I said before, coffee is amazing here! I'm soooo happy there's a place like this here in Victoria. Last time I was there, I saw next door's sign saying coffee roaster opening or something. I wonder if its them expanding...

Fantastic coffee. Great people & service. Worst to-go cups ever. I've been 4 times now, and 100% of the time the cup has leaked exactly the same way (leaking from the back of the lid due to a weak seal. Then the lip on the lid gets super soggy and the lid is even harder to attach. This all happens within 5 minutes of leaving the shop. Somehow I keep forgetting that this happens every time and I've stained multiple shoes and clothes worth hundreds. ‍

Coffee and the folks working were great. The to go cups are terrible. Both lids were leaking around the rim as I started to drink them. I placed it down on the center console to try to tighten the lid and the cup folded and spilled coffee everywhere.
