Okay, 1st time at a joint like this. And was a little nervous. This place is 4+ stars, The crab boil was on point cooked to perfection, sweet and clean, Delicious. The Shrimp was good to really good. Sausage was tasty, lesson learned being a rookie start with the Crab, then work your way down the food chain. I went backward and had to order a 2nd boil. Great portions Would I come back? oh yeah, great experience. If your here get there it worth it.

Watch yourself at the boiling pot cuz the seafood is coming in hot hot hot! One of my favorite restaurants when I visited Texas. It was a banger. The only disappointment was oysters weren't in season during this time. So they had none! I heard it's a must try! To start off, the ambience was nice. Decor all around filled with lights. It felt like a nice and cozy atmosphere. We ordered one of the combos to share and it came with complimentary bread and butter. I don't recall the sauce but it was their specialty sauce. From the crawfish, to the crab and the sides everything tasted fresh! You even get a hammer, crab cracker and tools to help you dominate the eating floor. They have a wide variety of brews and service was great. My only complaint is that I would prefer the boil in a bowl opposed to the table. I feel like it would retain more sauce. But for the first experience, it doesn't hurt to see them pour the seafood for the gram on the table lol. Would come back if ever in the area.

So, here in Rockport, Texas on a project and am sharing the wealth by supporting local eateries and I came across this joint called the Boiling Pot. I was thinking to myself, "yeah one of those places serving seafood and calling it Louisiana seafood". Well! I Love the shack like ambiance and the New Orleans jazz music playing brought me back to New Orleans. Oyster chucking station too? Yep!The hostess sat me down, paper on the table and the menu was all about boiled seafood. If you are a drinker, plenty of beer brands to choose from.I had a dozen raw oysters, steamed clams and even a cup of red beans and rice. Needless to say, I was stuffed.A little pricey but what isn't these days. If you are looking for a little New Orleans way out here in Rockport, Texas, come on by the Boiling pot. The name says it all.Remember to support your local eateries so we both don't starve......

The service was great and the food was AMAZING! Sabrina was our waitress and she was super friendly and attentive. She even taught me how to crack open my crab as I had never eaten crab before. We had a great experience and will definitely be going back again!!

Hostess tried to seat us in the out building. This was 5:00 pm on a Friday. Only a hand full of customers in the main restaurant. 90% of the tables in the main restaurant building was empty. Yet this hostess wanted to seat us in the overflow building which is essentially a warehouse with tables. There was no heat (it was cold outside!) There was no music playing. And we were the only ones that was in this building! So we asked to be moved to the main restaurant. They didn't seem to have a problem seating us here. When it came to our waitress explaining their menu, she had a hard time explaining their beers on the menu. It was difficult to understand her explanation of wild caught vs. farm-raised oysters. When are food came, our waitress just dumped our food on our table without giving us an option to keep our food in the bowl which another waitress gave to another table. When our waitress dumped our food on the table, the liquid in the bowl almost poured all over my husband's lap. We had to rush with mounds of paper towels to stop the liquid flow from pouring all over my husband's pants! Then it took forever for our waitress to recognize we needed another drink. She was practically awol most of the time. And after we paid our bill, we realized why.As we are walking out to our car, there were all 4 waitresses/ hostesses outside of the restaurant socializing among themselves. No wonder we got the service we did.Bottom line, the food is good, but the service is terrible!

Great ambiance, Shea was friendly and knowledgeable. We are Cajuns from South Louisiana so we do not need the bib. It is difficult to find boiled seafood in Texas the way we do it in Louisiana, and I am surprised to find your spot! We will for sure return. The blue crab was cooked perfectly. I could have had a little more spice. We asked for mayo and ketchup on I make our own dip the way we do at home. The oysters were fresh. The restaurant was clean. We found a new place to visit !
