The Beach House Day Spa

We have been to several spas thru the years. This place is excellent. My husband and I went last Christmas for a duet massage. He got a deep tissue and I got a Swedish. We loved it. This year we are adding his and hers facials. They are located at Waves Resort on the island and their prices are very reasonable.

Best massage I ever had and was much needed! Hope to be back soon to see Barbie! Thanks so much for giving me that relaxing massage I needed on vacation!

Barbie is awesome.One of the best massages I've ever received. She asks about any areas of interest, and if you have a hard back, or shin splints, she can remedy them up to make you feel fresh and rejuvenated! Her helper is also amazing. Always make appointments a week in advance or so. I get right in, she is always on time, their is also different treatment options available, skin wraps, heaters, etc... lady stuff. If you can't reach Barbie by phone, try her on her Facebook/or Company website. You can complain all you want about someone not answering, but once you get a massage here, it's awwwwww heaven! Check it out if you need a massage! Best spot on the Island.

Spent a relaxing weekend at the coast house, enjoying the sun and the water w/ the bf. We both needed massages after several weeks of stressful working and started looking online for day spas and massage therapists. After coming across a "therapist" who seemed to be offering "other" services along with her massages (based on the rear-view pictures posted on her website!), I stumbled upon the listing here on Yelp for The Beach House Day Spa which included the link to the website. A quick view of the pricing and Massage and Body Treatment Services offered, I immediately noticed that it was slightly more affordable/reasonable than the other spas I had looked at - most notably that it was $60 for an hour, $80 for an hour and half regardless of the type (regular, hot stone, hot shell, deep tissue - except for the duet massage). What sold us immediately was that they made house calls! We immediately booked two 1.5 hour massages but since there was only one therapist that day she told me the massages would have to be back to back - no biggie. When Barbie arrived, she asked where we wanted our massages and immediately began to set up. I opted to have mine outside on the deck, overlooking the water. Even in the heat and humidity (which was oddly relaxing), Barbie didn't make any comments or complaints. Her pressure was more or less consistent throughout the massage - I got a deep tissue. She was very professional and at the same time, friendly. My bf decided to have his massage inside the house in the air conditioning so Barbie had to fold up the table, bring it inside, set it up again, and bring all her stuff it and set that all up again too. His only "complaint" is that she didn't spend as much time as he would have liked on some of the problem areas he had mentioned, but otherwise we both think she did a fabulous job!She was also very accommodating about a small misunderstanding and we gave her a big tip for the inconvenience. Two thumbs up for Barbie from the Beach House Day Spa! We left her business cards on our table for the next visitors to use if they decide they want a massage for themselves!

After getting off to a shaky start with scheduling, I was very pleased with the massage I received from Teri. The atmosphere was relaxing and Teri was skillful, concentrating on my problem areas. The hour flew by and I left wishing it had been longer!

The beach house day spa was wonderful. I bought two all day spas for my mom and I. We had the best time. The atmosphere was relaxing and the a/c was perfect. Miranda gave the best massage that I have ever had in my life. And sounds weird but she only talked when I wanted to. I've been to some where they wanna talk the whole time and u can't fully relax. So I really enjoyed it!!!! Def worth the money. Barbie did my moms and she said hers was greaf as well. If ur trying to choose btw the beach house or the island day spa DEFiNITLY BEACH HOUSE DAY SPA!!! The island day spa was decorated cuter but not as friendly, I couldn't enjoy it bc I was frozen the whole time and they had a guy massager do my friend kinda weird. The massage was good but not awesome like Miranda and beach house!!!

Looks like your website has been hacked. I couldn't look at any of your services. I was considering a spa day for my husband and I but you need to check out your own website, not leave it to a developer.

My daughter Temple and I went to the Beach House Day Spa on the Saturday before Mother's Day and had an absolutely blissful experience. We each choose several treatments, they were wonderful and well-executed. Barbie and Suzanne did a fantastic job and were very friendly and professional. The Spa was clean, beautiful and relaxing. I have since taken one of my friends and she loved it also. I have been to several Day Spas in Corpus Christi and found The Beach House to be the best. Besides the relaxing, friendly atmosphere there is great attention to detail for the comfort of the client. I look forward to my next visit and have recommended this haven to my friends and clients.

Worst Service ever. My husband purchased a 1 hour massage for me and my daughter for Valentines. I called the day after Valentine's to set our massage appointment. It was difficult to get a hold of someone. I kept getting the voice mail. A week later someone finally called me and scheduled our appointment for 2 months and 22 days later. I marked it on my calender. massage day 5/7/2013 at 7 pm. May 7th came and I recieved a call from The Beach house day and spa. Barbie left a voice mail confirming our massage appointment for, her words (this evening). She did not leave a detailed time. I called her back a few minutes later and recived her voicemail. I left a detailed message confirming our appointment for that day at 7 pm and that I was looking forward to it. Went home after work. I'm getting ready and at 6:22 pm I receive a call from Barbie to see where we were at because we had an appointment at 6 pm. So untrue. When I frist made the appointment I had a feeling something was not right. When the appointment was set the person (lady) on the other end sounded over whelmed. From that start i had a bad feeling about this. It felt very unprofessional. I informed Barbie that my appointment was at 7 pm and we were heading that way already. I told Barbie that I had called her earlier that day before noon to confirm our appointment at 7 pm. She never did call me back until 6;22 pm that evening. I asked her if she heard my voicemail and she stated no she had not. When I told her this was a mix up and not in my part she started to be rude to me. Raised her voice and told me OH well you can reschedule but you will have to pay an additional $31. I told her I wanted a refund and that I would not go there or recommend anyone to go there for services. She stated "you can do what you want and if you want a refund call Groupon". " I have not gotten paid for it anyways" I told Barbie I had a massage scheduled for 7 pm and that I was on my way. She stated I'm already booked and if you come I will call the police. Really.. Really. I could not believe my ears. She did not care. My daughter works night and she asked for the day off on this day specifially so we can go enjoy a nice relaxing massge. Yeah Right. I've been to several places for massages here in Corpus Christi and I've had great service. I will never ever reccomend that place. It's crappy service and a rude owner. I'm suprised on how she stays in business. I didn't ask for anything special. I didn't want her to kiss my a%% . I just wanted her to make itright. And she failed at. Dear Barbie, I think you need to attend customer service classes. I think you need to have a better attidtude towards your customers. I think you need better people skills. i am very disapointed in the way you treated me. The Small Business Development center at Del Mar College has free seminars. I think you should attend some of there business classes. I will be sure to make an example OF THIS SITUATION on the " WHAT NOT TO DO" SEMINARS I WILL BE PARTICIPATING IN. I had to click on 1 star. If there was a -10 that would better suit this business.

Wonderful professional massage at a reasonable price. Miranda listened to what I needed and delivered. I would highly recommend this spa!
