Amazing food, atmosphere, & drink selection. The crab & lobster cake were the best crab cakes I've ever had! Delicious!

Loved this place. Great ambiance and the bacon wrapped dates, Ceasar salad, grouper with risotto, and crème brûlée we ordered were all 5-stars. Old fashioned was on point too!

The concept, name, and location are all great. We were a disappointed in the menu options and the confusion of the Blacksheep Bistro and Barrell Wine Bar and Tapas connected...with the same menu. I was expecting a robust menu with a variety of yummy tapas to choose from. The menu was underwhelming with appetizers, not tapas, and a limited menu. A wine menu was provided, but a cocktail menu, or beer selected were not offered or available. We ordered a salad and appetizers. The salad was good and the best part of the meal. We also ordered the crab nachos and the bacon wrapped shrimp. Cute names on the menu, but unfortunately, again underwhelming and lacking flavor. The nachos were bland, with little flavor or seasoning. The most exciting part of the nachos were the thinly sliced jalapeños. The bacon wrapped shrimp were more flavorful with a red chutney/salsa. Tasty, but how can you go wrong with shrimp and bacon.Dessert was the best part of the meal. Our waiter brought over a hand written dessert menu. Hard to read the print, but he explained all the desserts. We had a brownie and ice cream dish that was delicious.Overall, cute place, great concept, great service but just "ok". Probably wont be back...unfortunately.....wanted it to work.

Wish I could have tried the food or drinks.. but after waiting a while, another table was seated nearby. When the waitress finally came out, she went straight to a table that was just seated without bothering to look In out direction. Wonder if it was just the bad lighting outside. coulda been.. but you gotta love unconscious bias of selecting a table over another without bothering to ask who was there long before the other table. I'm sure the food is fine based on reviews.

I wanted a break from the fried food of Padre Island. WOW, this place is a diamond in the rough. Exquisite food and ingredients, good drinks, reasonable prices for fine dining-quality food. What a treat!

I really want to give this 4 stars and maybe it'll get updated on our next visit but the service has just never been great. The drinks, tapas and atmosphere are awesome. They have moscow mules on tap which is unique. The service isn't great mainly because it gets so crowded in there. I'll update next time I go to see if it's any better. Great wine and tapas bar!

Hands down the best burger in all of Texas! No exaggeration. We came from Austin just for this burger, and the darling German manager.

Good food (essentially the same as Black Sheep Bistro next door) and service. There's a problem though - it's not really a tapas bar. If it's going to serve tapas - it really needs to have food that qualifies as "tapas" - in the Spanish sense. At least have some gambas al ajillo (garlic-grilled shrimp) or some patatas bravas. Owners - I really hope you read your Yelp reviews and remedy this situation. Please add real tapas to the menu!

Decided to try this place for dinner. Atmosphere was nice. Big wine selection. We got the crab cakes. Those were delicious. I got the special of the day Cajun Jambalaya. It was NOT jambalaya. It was literally marinara sauce... it was not good at all. I only ate it because I was very hungry. It was very overpriced as well. $31 for the plate which included only 3 small shrimp and a little bit of sausage and maybe 2 small pieces of chicken. I asked if It was a creamy sauce and the waitress said yes. It definitely wasn't. It was straight marinara sauce. Not good. Waste of money. Whataburger sounded better honestly. We had high hopes for this restaurant as the menu sounded amazing. What the menu described was not what you got. My husband got the Cajun redfish and it wasn't really good either. Honestly disappointed.

Got there early evening. By that time the left half of the restaurant was put away for the night. A young waitress spent most of her time with I presume her boyfriend at the bar. We sat at the bar and our waitress was good. Food was fine. Not the same place as when Angela's was working there. Not sure I'll go back
