The Alcalde Coffee Shop

Best coffee shop and bakery in Gonzales, period. There are a few competing businesses in the area that sell coffee, but none taste as good as the Alcade's, unless of course you think that a blended mix of artificial syrups, creams, sugars, and a tiny dash of caffeine constitute a coffee drink... Then maybe you'd be better served elsewhere. The Alcade's has a real espresso machine and very kind staff. Their baked goods are made right there, fresh every morning. Everyone who has tried them love them. My colleagues love it when I bring a box of baked goods at work!I wish more people knew about this hidden gem! It's the best around, nothing else comes close.

A group of friends & I had showed up right after they'd closed for their morning hours! They'd just began their new hours of business... The manager, Maggie, was more than happy to open the doors & serve us with a warm smile! The coffee was delicious & they had fresh blueberry scones & chocolate cake! I had a blueberry scone definitely enjoyed it!! My drink of choice was an iced French vanilla latte with oat milk & I was extremely happy with it! Unfortunately I didn't think to get a picture! But will for sure be returning in the future!
