Texas Lawn Pros

My dad passed away a couple months ago and I needed someone to mow his lawn in Aransas Pass. I signed up for every other week mowing 6 weeks ago. Today was the first time I've been back since and the lawn looks great!

We had a mis-behaving zone on the sprinkler system of our rental house. As it's 4 hours away, I couldn't get away to fix it myself, so I asked our house manager to find some help. She called several companies, leaving voicemails with a brief description of the problem. None returned her call. Days later, an invoice arrived. Apparently, Texas Lawn Pros, one of the companies she called, showed up and spent 3.5 hours plus parts, then billed us. I asked our manager to go to the house and observe the zones as I remotely turned them on. The formerly broken zone now works, but some heads don't pop up or are mis-aligned. I figured if I'm going to pay top dollar then it might as well work perfectly. I therefore asked her to call and see if someone could fix it to our satisfaction. She finally got hold of the owner who refused to come out to correct the problem until the bill for the unsolicited service was paid. To make this headache go away, I've simply cut them a check and will fix/replace the heads when I get down there. The work they do might be okay, but their business practices need some help. Needless to say, we will NOT contact them again for service.
