Texas Cooler

A bar b q place located inside a Shell station. You order at the counter then have a seat. Pretty standard menu. Ordered brisket and sausage with coleslaw. Not the fastest service but not too bad. Then you have to pay at the gas station side after you eat. I found the brisket to be very good but it did not have a smoke flavor which was disappointing. The sausage was good. The coleslaw a bit too sweet for me.My total was $12 for not bad at all for bar b q. The staff even figured out it was cheaper for me to pay for the 2 meat plate and get a side than just meat Alavert. Very nice of them. Overall there are limited places for lunch in Stockdale and I would eat here again. Will try a few other places and review next month when I am back.

Stopped for gas and grabbed a few breakfast tacos. Got a chorizo and bean, a brisket and bean and a sausage wrap. All were great. Homemade tortillas and pretty good bbq. They had a bbq restaurant but we didn't have time to stop to eat. Will try it when we go back through.

Delicious food, stopped for gas & got the BBQ sandwich w/ pickles, green beans & pinto beans. It was all terrific. Great place to stop if you go by here. There's outdoor seating on the side so you don't have to eat in your car or in the restaurant if you don't want to.

There bbq not bad at all! The brisket is good the ribs are definitely my favorite! There breakfast tacos big an tortillas are homade an made fresh. Not many places in stockdale but if your in the area make some time to stop by

The ribs! That's all I have to say. The dry rub had just the right amount of flavor, they fell off the bones, and were very meaty. Will be back again.
