This is very important to know the true name of this store. This is Teloloapan Meat Market, Supermercado is a different store.

Don't just tell a friend about this place. Tell a Loapan. It's a very good quality and affordable meat market that also shares its premises with a grocery store of the same name, just as good.I like to shop for groceries at international stores with things from around the world, it's lovely to avoid the main brands and go to places like this, with delicious imported ingredients and treasures and surprises. It's friendlier than a lot of grocery stores and it's located conveniently in one of the best areas in all of the USA for food.

It's not unheard of a meat market offers merchandise like a grocery store. Since I never been to other Supermercado Teloloapan stores, I can't compare it with other Mexican grocery stores. This is sufficient for your everyday quick grabs. It has few variety of everything you'll need in a typical kitchen, if you cook. Otherwise, order the food from its cantina. I normally grab a couple of tamales on the way to work. They are only $1 each. There are chicken (pollo) in green spicy sauce and pork (puerco) in red mild sauce. The quality is above Fiesta Mart's "homemade" quality. Be warned. Because their clientele is mainly Spanish speaking, don't expect everyone speaks English. The prices are labeled visibly. I never encountered any language problems with anyone. I only speak Spanish if it's absolutely necessary. The staff is friendly to me and never encountered any issues.Their advertised items are good for 3 weeks. If I don't want to wait in long lines at HEB, I shop here for a couple of basic items - onion, tomatoes, garlic, etc. The store is always clean and organized. As long as the parking is available, I could go in and out in few minutes. This is a typical meat market in the back of store as you walk in. The meats look very fresh. But I am not really a meat eater, I hardly cook any beef. Therefore, I only buy chicken and marinade meats. Someone have to teach me how to buy beef first.

I called this store to inquire about a product and I could not communicate w/ them. I knew enough Spanish to ask if anyone else spoke English and was told NO ONE spoke English!! How can you do business with EVERYONE if some of the population is excluded? I will not go to this store now.
