Taqueria Y Tienda Mexicana Los Primos

In town for a hunting weekend and found this nice little taqueria off Yelp. Excellent barbacoa and tripas tacos. Very friendly staff. First time trying tripa dorado (crispy tripe) taco and it's a must-have for me now. Will be coming back.

This my favorite restaurant in Hallettsville! Their food is more authentic Mexican food rather than Tex-Mex. They haven't ever disappointed. Love their breakfast menu too. Their waiters are friendly and the restaurant feels family owned with it's plants and trinkets in the entrance. Highly recommend this place.

At last! Hallettsville has a good breakfast taco! Just opened this week. Breakfast is at 6:00 AM. We've been driving to Shiner for a breakfast taco since a good in H'ville couldn't be found. Sandra had a chorizo and I had carne Guisada, both top shelf. Located in the previous 'Los Cabos' building. Unique Mexican menu items for lunch and dinner. Definitely not a cookie cuter Tex-MexJuly 10, 2020 update. I added menu photos. Now they are open in evenings beginning Wednesday through Saturday. Service is getting better. At lunch could do a better job at keeping Chip basket filled. For me the tacos are still the best.

Fantastic, every time! Worth the 2 Hour Dr. just to have the homemade limeade; the breakfast tacos are fresh and creative flavors, as well as the classics. The lunch plates & salads are generous and delicious. The fajitas are a personal favorite.The service is impeccable and friendly... Good people here, serving great food!More MEX than TEX = MAS MEJOR!

Decided to get it a try-and it's VERY GOOD. My husband's breakfast tacos were top notch and my egg plate was perfectly cooked to order. Definitely recommend for breakfast.

It has been years since I've been to a place who do both chicken and beef fajita meat equally well. The skirt steak was to die for, melt-in-your-mouth goodness. I won't be bothering with any of the other subpar Mexican restaurants in H'ville. This one is by far the best when it comes to taste.

This place a good Mexican food. The chips do not have sauce which I like because you can always add . However the salsa is a little blank for me but the grandkids liked it. The service was good and a lot of food for the money. Such a large selection of margarita flavors.

Loved the scrambled eggs and the homemade corn tortillas. Salsa was excellent. Husband had breakfast plate and he said it all was very good. Thank you for being open and so friendly!!!!

This Place has a very good Breakfast and if you are on the Go they got you covered fast and friendly service and they are always happy to see you.

We ate lunch at Los Jarritos for the first time and it was excellent! I had two chicken tacos and they were quite flavorful and not greasy. Others had chicken quesadillas, nachos and a huarache, all of which were tasty! I will be back next time I'm in town.
