Best taqueria in the valley, i live in San Antonio now every time i visit family is a must to go here

The staff was extremely nice and the restaurant has a very home-y atmosphere. The prices were also extremely reasonable.The food however was very disappointing. It was an hour and a half before close so that might have contributed to the food quality, but the food was very bland. The potato was scrumptious and the bistek tacos were okay (a little dry for my taste), but the trompos tacos were truly abhorrent. It sort of tasted like how Home Depot smelled. The beans were also quite bland and required the support of 1 whole lime and an assortment of seasonings to make it decent.There are a significant amount of 5 star reviews on this place so maybe this was just an off-day for them. Always amazing. Took my husband, he's from San Antonio, at the end he said: Now I know why you are always dying to come here when we visit. Happy wife, happy life.

The food is fire. I get my usual combo maíz with a papa with only butter and cheese cuz I hate bacon and sour cream. Comes with complimentary frijoles. Been coming here since I was a kid and it's my must go spot whenever I come home. The service is always good and it's nice to see the same employees here. Decent food, reasonable prices but wouldn't say they're the best...just average. From reading reviews I ordered mine "lightly oiled" but they came completely dry... probably better that way!

Great value for the tacos!!! $20 can easily feed 6 kids for a family on budget. I didn't like the trompo however, but fajitas and mollejas are delicious.

The tacos de trompo were amazing. Haven't had them this good since I was in Monterrey Mexico. The beans they give you before your meal are good too. Place is small and busy. Come hungry.

Been eating here for 20+ years. The food has consistently stayed good and inexpensive. The flour tortillas are excellent, and the corn tortillas are not overly oily. The papas are usually good, but every once in a while they skimp out on the toppings. But you can always ask for more! The servings are excellent, with a taco combo (2 flour tacos, small potato, drink, and beans) being only $9! The only things that are not consistently good are the beans, but they've been good more consistently lately. Oh, and both the salsas, red and green, are good without being overly spicy. The sincronizadas are also excellent!

I have been going to this place since I was a kid! cannot go wrong with anything, especially a sincronizada! perfect late night eats and very reasonably priced. so many memories at this place after church or meeting with the family.
