Having lived in Mazatlan for a number of years and having many Latino friends that we share recipes and meals with...this is hands down one of the worst Mexican restaurants we have ever eaten at. Food is not fresh. I'd be willing to guess that nearly everything is processed and comes out of a can, bag or box. Went with another couple and all agreed that this place is horrible. Service was mediocre.

When you've been on the beach and want some dinner, but don't want to get dressed...this is your jam!Mexican restaurant with a drive thru. Woot woot. I ordered the asada taco. Asked for cilantro, onion and tomatoes. Salsa on the side. The taco was big and full of flavor. Definitely hit the spot and very convenient to go in the drive thru. Thank you!

A regular go-to for locals and tourists alike. Serving no-frills, authentic Mexican food in a family friendly, casual atmosphere. Diner or dive? Depends on your perspective. Family favorites:- #21 beef or chicken: quesadillas with rice & beans- #47 Mexican street-style tacos: get the barbacoa & pastor and add avocado, comes with charro beans- #25 Ladies' special: 1 crispy taco, 2 cheese enchiladas, 1 chalupa. Add avocado to the chalupa & swap the cheese for beef enchiladas. - breakfast taco: machacado & egg ala Mexicana on corn. Try it with the green salsa

BEST mexican food in Rockport !! The service has always been fast and the food is always so hot !! Would definitely recommend!

food is always goodwe eat breakfast from there most every morning the barbacoa is excellent as well as the Carne guisada ,omelettes, menudo and pancakeslunches and supper are great as well food is prepared when ordered so if your in a big rush go to fast food establishment but you'll be sorry you missed Vallartas

One of the best place for Mexican food. Their Chilli rellonoes, cheese enchiladas burritos and chicken soup are the best

Being new to the area I have had a lot of misses when it came to restaurants here in Rockport. Taqueria Puerto Vallarta was definitely a win. The service was fast and attentive and the food came out in reasonable time especially since this Memorial Day had the place pretty busy. This will definitely be a go to from now on.

Vallarta is the best Mexican food in town!! I've been eating here since before 2006. They have the best breakfast tacos and amazing other breakfast options. My kids love the French toast.The tortillas are homemade and can't be beat. We always receive our food quick & friendly service. My husband raves about the asada enchiladas and the chicken fajita plate is my go to. I also love the options of a hamburger, hamburger steak and even a chicken friend steak! Great variety, definitely recommend.

Had breakfast - yum! Carne Guisada tender and savory. Huevos rancheros sauce warm and mild and with nice chunks of the onions and tomatoes. The green salsa is good and hot! Eggs to order made correctly for all parties at the table. Beans are ok. The pancakes are good and fluffy. Server was very friendly and attentive as well. Kept my coffee topped off. =)

If you are wondering if this a great place to eat, look no further! It's not somewhere where you are going to wear a business suit for dinner but chances are you are on vacation and looking for some authentic local food. We stopped in for breakfast and weren't disappointed in the amount or quality of delicious food we were served. We recommend you stop in for some authentic South Texas Mexican food!
