Taqueria Mazatlan

The menu at this mexican restaurant is so big, you get so many options. I tried a couple of their dishes and none of them disappointed. Their servers are always friendly. The restaurant is beautiful, always clean and playing good music.

Tired of waiting 30 minutes for a cold taco with no meat and no flavo? I have the solution. Taqueria Mazarin this place is fast friendly and the food is actually hot.

We actually came here when La Antigua was closed. Saw this place, and figured we would give it a try. The inside ambience and seating was great. You just would not believe the chairs in this place. The menu is massive, with limitless options. The appetizer menu was a bit smaller than most Mexican food places we have been to. The shrimp cocktail was delicious, and the large was definitely the way to go. I had the fried avocado stuffed with chicken and beef, and the avocado was so hard. I literally had to cut it with a knife. My husband had a fajita plate, and he approved. Seemed the serving sizes were decent, as we both had to pack to go boxes. Margaritas were watered down, so I would not spend money on drinks here. The beans and rice were typical, but beans were a bit on the watery side. Chips were delicious, and the sauce had a good kick to it. Waiting staff tried to keep up, but it appeared they had their children hustling plates and tickets. I am not completely sure this is legal, but the kids were really nice about it. The bathroom was small with only one room/toilet. Parking was sufficient, as there is parking around the restaurant and the motel it is attached to. Overall, we would likely try another place when back in the area.

Horrible food + people can smoke inside. Went there once & never looked back. The restrooms are also right were you're seated. HORRIBLE smell and site!

The ambiance is great. Don't let the outside discourage you. Service was good and prompt. I had the chicken quesadilla plate. The quesadilla was loaded with chicken. The beans and rice had great flavor. My husband had birria street tacos. They were very good, too! We really enjoyed it and will be back.

I was hopeful but alas... though the service was adequate and the ambiance tasteful, the food was just plain terrible. I have a very forgiving palate but to my dismay, the taco was ONLY meat...no lettuce, no cheese, and the meat tasted very weird. Questionable beef. Even the bean and cheese burrito, I couldn't stomach more than two bites. The cheese, especially, was disgusting. And how do tortillas get messed up? I was very disappointed with the food I ordered. I ate some of my friend's chicken quesadilla, which was better than my order, but even then the chicken tasted strange, not high quality, and even when she offered me more, I turned it down. I was honestly concerned about having the runs later. I really hoped to be able to praise this restaurant (I hate leaving poor reviews), but the truth is more helpful for others. We should've gone to the taqueria up the street that has a significantly higher rating. :-[
