Taqueria Mary

This is not in a popular part of the RGV but wherever you are visiting in the valley it's worth the drive! The food is made fresh to order. Everything is hot and cooked to perfection. The prices are great, super affordable. It has a family feel to it. There are both inside and outside seating options. A family friendly safe place. There's nothing on the menu that I can't give a 5 start rating to! Don't pass this one up. Seriously, you won't regret making a stop here!

We came to eat after a days of work and it was worth it. I had a huge potato I had no clue potatoes even got that big. A guy came in with a speaker and started singing! Overall a great time and a memory with my church group

Not what it used to be. I love the story of taqueria Marie, so after over 8 years of being away from the valley I thought I'd come back to relive the good ole days and have some tacos. Well, I was not impressed. Bland barbacoa. Took forever to get them. Beens were nothing special. Not what I remember this place being. Good ole days are good and gone. Memories!

So I just got back home to the valley and I asked people for some good tacos. I was sent here. Not gonna lie, it was hyped up to be more than what it is. It's not that cheap and it's not that good. I had a normal order of bistek tacos and a coke. The grilled onions were really the saving grace because the tortilla was dry as my scalp. The meat is okay, not the best. The cheese that I ADDED wasn't the greatest either. I give it 3/5 stars. I wasn't impressed.

I always seem to give this place a try every few months, I wanna like it but the food always disappoints. I left thinking to myself why I stopped here when I could've just gone to "Don Felipe" right next door.I had the order of five tacos, went with two of Trompo meat and three of bistek. The Trompo lacked flavor big time, the small amount of salsa and lime I added completely overpowered the taco, no good. The bistek was simply ok. The tortilla was super crunchy, tasted more like a tostada, had round burnt marks throughout. Salsas were average nothing spectacular. I prefer to get my loaded baked potato before the tacos, appetizer I guess and here they always bring it at the same time as the rest of the food even when asked to get potato first. Either you eat your tacos and let the potato get warm or eat potato first and let food get warm. The price to me was slightly higher didn't match the quality of the food at all.I'm sure I'll probably give this place another try again in a few months, hopefully they learn how to heat their tortillas properly by then. Meanwhile, go next door to "Don Felipe!"

I've been coming to taqueria Mary's for years and have seen the business grow from a small taco hut to a commercialized business. Although prices have definitely gone up, the quality, taste, eating area, and customer service have consistently improved. This is definitely one of the best Taquerias in Mission, Texas and a must try for all who love Mexican tacos. Service is fast no matter what time you go, and food is always delicious. My personal favorite is an order of Chicken tacos in flour tortilla served with white cheese, grilled onions, cilantro, and avocado.

This place is the bomb for tacos! We lived in the valley for over 18 years and we have seen this place grow from when it used to be just a shack to now a nice little place with an indoor and outdoor seating area.. The tacos are authentic and delicious! Great tasting tacos, synchronizadas, and their beans are really good! We recently moved from Mission to SA and we when we went back to visit Mission, this was our first stop for tacos. We had to get our taqueria Mary fix! Lol! The place is consistent and always has good service! If you go on a weekend night, you will literally see the hundreds of cars going to eat here or drive up and order their take outs! 100's of people can't be wrong every weekend.. Taqueria Mary is awesome!

be carful eating here ! the food is no longer served like it was in the past ! tacos are served with very little meat and taste is not that good. if you dare complain the owner refers to her no return sign instead of trying to make it right for their customers . never again i do not recommend anyone to eat here. there are plenty of taquerias that treat customers with respect and serve better portions with better quality food.

I was the only customer this morning, and they managed to mess up on my order and not charge me for a drink extremely greasy never again

This Taqueria was highly Recommend by a family member . Hamburgers were good , the Papas were better
