In town for a softball camp at Texas A&M Kingsville....go Javelina's!! I found a breakfast taco place that's was amazing!!! The employees were so nice and friendly. This place was packed but they get you in and out in a timely manner. The tortillas are homemade like my grandma's.

This place is very good. Looks like an old convenience store. You order at the counter from some of their pre made tacos, or any tacos to order. Place closes at 2 unless they sell out of food any earlier.

The best home-cooked Mexican food out of a restaurant. Reminds you of your abuelita's kitchen. No frills, just good home-cooked food! Breakfast tacos are their specialty. Found this place about a year ago and I've lived here for 15 years it's now my go-to place for breakfast tacos!

It has been a few years since I had the pleasure of eating at Taqueria Martinez. So, my review is based upon experiences from that time. That said: Taqueria Martinez offers some of the best breakfast tacos that I have eaten in South Texas! Located in an unassuming location adjoined to a convenience store, this little restaurant is a slice of heaven! The fresh tortillas are not too thick and not too thin. They are perfectly cooked and loaded with your choice of taco filling. I often chose the daily special (super cheap), but the prices are so amazing that you never feel guilty for splurging on a favorite of the day. My favorite tacos: Bacon and egg, sausage and egg and potato and egg.The salsa is homemade. It is a bit spicy for a gringo like me; however, when used in moderation, it perfectly flavors the tacos. We live in Northern California now. It is strange that even the Mexican restaurants in California are largely unfamiliar with the Tex-Mex, Jalisco and Noreste style of Mexican food. It is difficult to find Mexican American cooks in those restaurants who have heard of "breakfast tacos," real "fajitas" or "carne guisada." If a restaurant like Taqueria Martinez, El Tapatio or Kiko's (from Corpus Christi) opened a restaurant in the San Francisco Bay Area, it would make a fortune from introducing authentic Texas-style Mexican cuisine to the masses who think that a "wet burrito," "fish and cabbage taco" or side order radishes is typical Mexican fare. If you are in Kingsville, it is certainly worth the trip for breakfast at Taqueria Martinez!

Everything in there menu is the best. For south Texas it's hard to find mex-Tex food. We are surrounded by Jalisco style food which for me is not my taste. Carne guisda, breakfast is amazing and there enchiladas are to die for lol you get the picture
