Taqueria Los Altos de Jalisco

Service was good but the food was NOT. The rice was very wet with no flavor. The best part about the number four plate was the charro beans. The number 30 plate was ok but one of my shrimp had not been cleaned at all. Hopefully others have a better food experience than my wife and I did.

I had ate here several times during my recent travels to the area for work. My first impression was how friendly and helpful the staff is. Secondly impression is the food is not bad at all. I had the pork chops this week and they were great. Nice grilled flavor and marks on them. The refried and charro beans both have nice flavor. They have an extensive menu too. If you're not a spicy person watch out for the orange colored salsa, it has quite the kick to it. My only criticism is the rice. Each time it was mushy and did not have much flavor. If not for this, I would give a 5 star review. Worth going too and trying more than once.

.We had supper here yesterday for convenience.It is a couple blocks off main roads, slightly hidden. Paved & aggregate off-street parking lot.The quality was a very welcome surprise.I had shrimp ceviche with a small menudo chaser. Wife had carne asada.We both were very happy with our meals. Not exactly "Mexican", more like top-notch Tex-Mex.Great service, good tea, clean place, excellent condiments, & actual home-made fresh tortillas.I will make an effort to dine here every time passing through.A real ''hidden jewel"; You MUST try this neat little place ! It's okay, I go here because of the drive thru option. The taste is 4/10. Because of that I haven't made it inside, I just pick up.

This is definitely a restaurant I love stopping at as it serves some pretty good Mexican dishes and some good tasting tortillas to go along with. This place is well kept and cleaned and does have quite a clientele which speaks volumes of this place. Service is good and the food...well the food is good as well.

holy moly! freaking amazing food! the most incredible service too! this carne asada steak is possibly the best i've ever had. guacamole is so fresh and tasty. i only have amazing things to say. i'll come here anytime im in robstown.

We hit this place up on the way to SPI and it was delicious! The servings were huge and helped us get to our destination. We were seated quickly, the restaurant was clean and tidy, and the service was top-notch! The tortillas were some of the best I've had with the exception of a family friend's homemade ones. My littles ones were pleased with their more American choices and the value was exceptional for the amount of food we received. I highly recommend checking out Taqueria Los Altos de Jalisco.

We stop in here from the valley on our way back toHouston occasionally. Food is always good as well as service.

Have eaten here with my daily for 20 or more years and they are consistently awesome. Haven't been lately so I don't gave pix but great service and salsa!!

Great ambiance. Server was very polite & attentive. Good was very delicious, especially the menudo & barbacoa. Definitely our new go to when we're in the area
