The service is great! Very homey feeling talking to the employees. And the food is delicious!

Perfect for breakfast only. I recommend the bean and cheese tacos as well as the classic bacon and egg. Their salsa is delicious and they are always so friendly. Perfect start to my day on my way to work and good value.

Ordered three breakfast tacos and was told to pull over and wait in a spot. After 15 minutes and no tacos I was able to flag down someone and ask for an update, he told me to hold on he would check. It took him 10 more minutes to come back with my food at which time he said it was my fault it took so long because I parked in the wrong spot. This is a micro sized parking lot by the way, max 8 cars and there were only 3 other cars there at the time. After all that the tacos were average at best. Definitely not worth a 25 minute wait and rude manager interaction.

Discovered La Fonda several years ago when looking to buy breakfast tacos for my team. OMG, they are the best. They also have such great salsa that I buy it whenever I'm in town. Do yourself a favor and go there. You won't be disappointed and you'll wish they were in your city.

Did the drive thru for two tacos, they had me pull over to park and wait for about 20 minutes for (2) little tacos. I almost drove off before the twenty minutes, as I was really needing to be somewhere.

I love this place. They have a great system to get your food out quickly. Flavor of the tacos and salsa are top notch. Service is always great. They've never messed up even one of my orders.

Definitely a hole in the wall Mexican joint. There are several places I would rather go in San Marcos like Herbert's instead of this place. Kind of pricey for what it was. I got two tacos for 5.50. No chips included. Overcooked tortillas and Chuy meet.

The restaurant is rather old and "very rustic" but I thought I would try it anyway in that the local Hispanic population may know this restaurant as a local gem. So I ordered Carne Asada, the waitress was pleasant enough, the food was ok nothing special. Ordered an additional order of corn tortillas, they were delivered to my table after the remaining food was cold. I don't think I will return.

I just moved to San Marcos last year and have been looking for a good breakfast taco place. Idk why I never thought to try here but I'll definitely be a regular from now on! The tortillas were soft, the potatoes too, I loved their beans & cheese, the egg:potato ratio was great, and the eggs actually have flavor. Idk why Loli's is so popular when this place is 100x better and there's no line.
