Taqueria Jalisco No 5

Stopped by on way to Corpus Christi ordered the fajita taco and the meat was hard and had a lot of nerves . Super disappointed. I was hoping for a good experience so we could go back . Won't be going back . We also ordered a breakfast tacó poquito de todo . That was decent but the fajita tacos were bad .

At first I was a bit skeptical about going here, due to the amount of bad customer reviews. I didn't realize how outdated the reviews were until recently so I thought I'd try it out. Needless to say these reviews were far from right and definitely wrong! I was treated with great customer service even though we ordered from the drive thru. They recommended me specials and things they personally recommended and I ended up getting the enchilada special. The taste was so good, and definitely not made cheaply. I'm so glad I was able to go here because the enchiladas are to die for and so are their beans. I'll be coming here more often. Definitely give this place a try if you already haven't. It truly deserves more recent reviews, because these reviews are too outdated.

Great place to eat! Food was authentic and people working there were really professional. I highly recommend stopping to eat here.

You know you've made a mistake when you sit down and get served one hot sauce in a small plastic cup for 2 people. We ordered Quesadillas hoping that would be a safe choice but nope, chicken was grisly and dry, hardly any cheese and the side of guacamole was brownish colored. Yuk!!! And I've pica never had pica de galo without any jalepenos, no bueno

Come here at least once every couple of weeks. Always for breakfast, so no review, on other items. The breakfast tacos are great and of amply size. And have always enjoyed their breakfast specials. Serve is good and friendly. I do agree that it does not have great decor and the bathroom (can only speak to the men's side) could use some sprucing up. That said the tables are clean. If take out is any indication of food quality then you know something, in the kitchen , is going right.

Absolutely disgusting! Worst food I have ever had! There were only 3 stars on yelp, but the parking lot was full so I wanted to give it a try. The entire staff was rude! Chips were stale, tortillas were like rubber, sweet tea was even gross! I ordered the chicken enchiladas...BIG mistake!!! Took the first bite and immediately had to spit it out! 1 star is being generous!!! Wish there was a negative star button! I would never recommend this place to anyone! Don't waste your money!!

In town visiting for a few days and decided to try nearby Tex-Mex. Major mistake I should have been clued in to a virtually empty lot. Even though later the locals started coming in and it did get packed. The waitress seemed to be a little put aside and food was terrible. Silverware was dirty (had white residue on it), requested another set and waitress must have not checked it, because the next set was the same way. We asked for bean dip and was disgusted when it was bought out to the table. FYI: Presentation is everything.

Great food! Good service! I really would like to recommend this place to anyone who enjoys good Mexican food!The chip and surza are wonderful not to hot but just enough bite. The tortillas OMG this are just the best just like mama used to make at home!The food selection is just outstanding love to have dinner there.Henry Gonzalez

Have been to Jalisco's in Corpus. Nothing to get excited about but not bad. This particular location is a "NO". The restaurant itself is dingy and dirty. I ordered the fajita tacos. At first bite, the meat had an odd taste to it, which I attributed to seasoning. At second bite of second taco, I realized it was rancid meat. So, there was no finishing that plate. Beans and rice were nasty too. Guacamole was good as was the salsa, however keep in mind, these items have a fast turn over. Had to visit restroom before leaving, This restroom was poorly lit. I was horrified to find that some idiot fanned excrement on the wall and dumped on floor on same wall where I had to get the TP. The horror of this, is that this mess was dried and caked on- which I interpret as a sign that it had been left there for quite some time. Humidity levels were very high for about a week, so you can imagine. Rule of thumb, if the bathrooms are dirty, the kitchen is too. Yes, I did have a lovely case of Montezuma's revenge for a day or so, no I will not return, nor should you visit this location.

My dad and I shared the nachos and they were kind enough to separate the portions for us. The food was flavorful and the meat was very clean! It was super filling and the service was great all around.
