Taqueria Jalisco

There are several restaurants with this name. This one is in FALFURRIAS. Not the one in Kingsville as listed on YELP.This is my favorite restaurant in Falfurrias and the surrounding area. Great variety on the menu, a mexican food lunch buffet during the week, full bar (with bartenders who know how to make drinks!) with great liquor and beer selections, super attentive cordial staff, moderately priced.

This was a nice find on a work trip. It appears that this is a new location for this restaurant. I ordered a small shrimp cocktail with my meal. I had forgotten how good these were. I wish they would offer a spicy version. The side items I ordered were a la crate and very good. Cheese enchiladas and a taco. Very typical Tex Mex. They have a full bar and it was $1 margarita night. My only complaint is that the jukebox music is too loud...but I'll still return on my next trip to the area.

Taqueria Jalisco #10 is a great restaurant. We have gone there for the past 10 years. We always ask for the same waitress & she is wonderful. However, recently they have had a change of evening managers. This new management has changed up several things about seating. We ask for the same waitress week after week & the manager consistently seats us in the wrong section. Our waitress has to change tables with another waitress so she can help us. This is getting terribly annoying. I don't understand what is so difficult about requesting the same waitress week after week. The previous managers always got it right but this one is definitely a challenge. It's like she doesn't listen to our request or she doesn't care. Not sure which.

All the food that is served is welled cooked and absolutely my 2nd favorite place to eat

The hidden Gem of Texas!! If your in mood for real Mexican food this is the place, whatever you order I would imagine you can't go wrong, I was driving through and I'm happy that I stop by being tired of all the corporate fast-food wannabe Mexican, TexMex restaurants because of the sheer volume of people that visit those restaurants food starts to taste like slop from a cafeteria. In search of what I could only describe as Grandma's cooking, I have traveled all over the world including most of Mexico and this is by far top 10 when I ask for salsa really spicy salsa they said they had habanero!! that alone along with the fresh Gulf Shrimp tacos!none of that farm raised crap from Asia. Do yourself a favor and stop by it has to be a must if you're in the area. If you don't you'll be missing out on this little treasure in the middle of almost nowhere. It's a large sit-down restaurant but yes it has a drive-thru!

The address Yelp lists for this restaurant is one in Kingsville. I am reviewing the Taqueria Jalisco that is in Falfurrias, Texas. I used to eat here twice a month when driving between the Valley and San Antonio. However, last time there the restaurant unilaterally added a 20% tip to my credit card charge without either having a sign at the front door informing guests that that was their new procedure or telling me they were going to do so. I was quite disappointed that any restaurant would add an unapproved amount to a bill. Heck, I usually left tips in excess of 20% for the kids that waited on me. They didn't get anything more than the 20% they zapped me for that night and consequently also lost me as a customer. I'll either have dinner in McAllen before leaving South Texas or wait to get to George West or Three Rivers to eat. I'm never going back to those crooks again. In all honesty, their food is good but such a sneaky practice cannot be condoned.
