I've been coming here one to two times a week for years, generally through the drive-in. Up until about 15 months ago, I got my order - it would cost $7.13 and life was good - now with the "new" person who isn't so new anymore, the cost jumped to $7.43, but only when that person was working. Anyone else it would be $7.13. When I asked they would hem-haw and it wasn't worth the argument.Today, it cost $7.57 and when I asked about a price jump, that attendant claimed it was always that cost because of the extra bacon. Now there wasn't a line today when I went, no mad morning rush. So I paid (as always in cash) in disgust, got my order came home, opened up my taquito to find the order was completely wrong. This attendant sees me every Friday and Sunday, they didn't even think twice about the price when they looked at me.I love this restaurant, however now, on these days I will need to park and go in for an order to go.

Hmmm what to have for breakfast in Corpus Christi...How about some Mexican food? Stopped into Taqueria Jalisco for a quick bite. The parking lot is difficult to get into on most days as the drive through blocks the main entrance all the way to the street. Once we made it in though, you can smell fresh tortillas once you open the door. It makes you a little hungrier! I ordered a pastor taco and a bean/cheese taco and my wife had a migas plate. The food was delicious until I somehow bit egg shell that was in my beans. WTH. Otherwise it was good. The staff is very friendly and attentive to your needs. Multiple people came to offer coffee refills as well as extra napkins. The restaurant is very busy inside, so expect some noise and loud conversations especially when seated next to children.

We now have cold weather here in STX, it is officially "Holiday Season," and as such, I feel inclined to show some love to this classic Corpus institution. Taqueria Jalisco might as well be the city's unofficial official restaurant chain. That is, if you can call it one. They are scattered everywhere, but they appear to be only loosely connected. This one, however, is the "premier" location. It's prices are a bit higher, but the food, service and restaurant are of a higher quality. In other words, you get what you pay for. I have been coming here for over a decade. With few exceptions during the pandemic, I have never really had subpar food or service. This visit was no exception! I'll add that my server, Fernanda, was very nice and accommodating.

The food here is not good. The fajita meat is tough and tasteless. The beans and rice taste like they come from cans. The server couldn't be bothered to refill drinks or bring extra napkins. They charge $2.85 for a small bowl of cold, greasy tortilla chips. Also, the traffic in the drive-thru line constantly blocks a lane of traffic on Cimarron Blvd, causing congestion problems, and they should have to hire off-duty police to keep traffic moving like what is done in most cities. I was told this was some of the best Mexican food in Corpus Christi, but the locals must have blown out taste buds if this is the best, because I've had much better in Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, and even Amarillo.

I called in our order and had trouble understanding the man, so I asked his name in case the order was incorrect. He would not give me his name. " I don't feel comfortable giving you my name" Unbelievable! I'm simple asking for a first name "John"You know the first question asked when there is an issue: Who did u speak to? If a business will not give their name it really raises suspicion, my instinct is to not trust a business who refuses give their name.

My experience at Jalisco on Cimarron is feeling ripped off dissatisfied disappointed. I frequently visit this restaurant because I like the food and the specials when available. But today I ordered the special and received something totally different. I always order the same thing. What was really surprising was the treatment I received when I went back to explain what happened and was made to feel it was my fault the messed up my order. It's going to be a long time before I even consider going back to this restaurant again. I will be sure to tell all my family friends and coworkers about my experience today.

Came here for a quick family pregame while visiting from out of town, and they surely did not impress me nor disappoint! Starting off with a Long Island iced tea to prime the engine and finishing off with a couple frozen margaritas. The quality wasn't the absolute best but I guess it matched the price and happy hour deal
