Taqueria El Jimador

I visited the Stephen Austin Statue and the city museum. I was looking for a Mexican Restaurant. Google told me to go here to Jimador.It was around 2pm when I arrived. The restaurant was empty. It was easy to order. I got pollo-chicken. I hadn't eaten a Mexican food for 6 months. It was super tasty. When I paid, one of the servers asked me' Are you Japanese? " I said yes. But I missed Mexican food. Tacos are better than sushi here in Texas! The Mexicans are very authentic here in Texas. The inside was a very Mexican atmosphere. I loved it. I found a mural of Selena who was a popular singer. Here is very Tex-Mex!

Come on El Jimador something has happened to your food, i used to come in and get a nice sirloin or T bone and they were great and tasty. My daughter and I came in after a road trip to have a great meal, I was very disappointedwith my steak, I got a T bone and rather than it being red, juicy & tenderit was a shade of grey, very thin & very tough and I did well to choke it downI know you can do better, so you might want to start looking at what you served and see if you would eat it, if not throw it out and start over, even though this happened to me I will be back, everyone needs another chance.ThanksRick

Excellent experience at Taqueria El Jimador!Like many Mexican restaurants, many options can be veganized! The food was delicious; the atmosphere is lovely, and excellent customer service. We had:-Chips & Salsa (of course!)-Guac (of course!)-Avocado Torta: Bread is dairy/egg free. Ask for no butter, no cream, no mayo, no cheese. -The torta goes fantastic with the salsa verde!-Nopalito (cactus) taco. Yummy!-Rice**Would get this again!COVID Notes-Indoor and Outdoor dining was available.-The order was effortless, quick, & accurate.-Excellent customer service, masks were required, staff wore masks and gloves.-Limited seating capacity. Plenty of comfortable space.-No issues at all.Can't wait to go back!Thank you, Taqueria El Jimador, for having a Vegan Options!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Sub par food, everything is charged extra (who charges for lettuce and tomatoes on a taco). $10 for two tacos, not worth it. Don't waste your money or time!!

I had breakfast here for the first time and the restaurant is clean and the environment is nice, but not impressed with the food, service, and the price for 2 eggs, cup and a half of potatoes, 2 bacon strips, and one cup of coffee due to no service. Costed me almost 14 dollars. Restrooms for the lady's stinks and not very clean. I have been to a lot of restaurants and I do blog them. I still recommend Kelly's for the price, amount of food received, service, and cleanliness. Men that love to eat go to Kelly's if you go towards Alvin.

This is Texas, which basically belongs to Mexico, no matter what anyone says. So needless to say there are at least 3 large Mexican Restaurants in a town with a population of 18.1k (that I can tell)This one is very good. It is not TEX MEX, so forget what you know have in your pretty little heads.Not Pappasitos, Not Jimmy ChangasThis food is mild on the tongue, not overly seasoned, yet seasoned enough to be tasty.Add your own salt and pepper of you want more.Ordered Chicken Soup with flour tortillas (it comes with spanish rice)Tacos AL CarbonBoth were really good. I would definitely order soup again. And this has created in me a soup challenge.To try every soup in the surrounding Mexican restaurants.The fajita meat was well seasoned and the tortillas were on point.Definitely worth more than we paid (which was under $26.00)

Went this morning for breakfast and Service was great and fast warm food . I recommend this restaurant for breakfast as a owner of Vallarta Mexican Grill el jimador has great food as well !

Great food and great service. Waitresses are awesome. The Lady at register is the most unpleasant person in the whole restaurant. She seems to always be in a fowl mood.

They will try to overcharge you every single time. Beware! They charge 3.99% for credit cards and don't take checks.

Delicious food and great service. We had the barbacoa breakfast plate and let me tell you the portion is huge and the taste is on point! I don't live in Angleton but when I return to visit my family I'll be making a stop here again.
