Taqueria Chapala

I finally found a Mexican restaurant I like! There is a drive thru or you can park and come up to the window. When it is not hot out, there are some benches to sit outside and eat. Location is at the corner of McArdle and Nile. I think this place has been around for a long time. Building looks older but the food is yummy! Salsa is pretty good and they have one that is spicy. I have ordered a carne asada burrito, al pastor torta, and the loaded nachos. All are delicious and portions are appropriate. My go to spot for Mexican in Corpus Christi!

In the last 2 years, I've had a bean egg and cheese taco at 110 other taquerias in the area. Chapala on Nile is the best. Best salsas by a long shot. Also love the carne asada and al pastor.

I always come here whenever I'm crazing a bacon egg and cheese taco. They by far have the best tacos in Corpus Christi. They peeps there are always so nice and quick to getting my food out. They have outside seating only but the seating is covered to provide shade.

My family walked over to grab food while our car was charging at one of the dealerships and we were absolutely blown away. The tacos were easily the best I've ever had and the chips and salsa were incredible. The service was also really great and the girl who helped us was so friendly. Absolutely recommend stopping here on your way in or out of Cinnamon Shore!

We had a Carne Quesada with their delicious beans taco and we ate it so fast that we didn't even take a picture, but it was the best we have had....

This was our goto breakfast spot since 2009. Moved away and recently came back on a visit now with 2 kids and I must say it did not disappoint!The eggs are never overdone, the cheese is super gooey, the tortillas are fresh and the salsa verde is some of the best I've ever tried. And the sweet tea is perfection. They're always so kind and friendly as well. Such a gem!

I stopped by here a while back during a trip down to Corpus. I'm not sure what the hype is about to be quite honest. The tortillas I was served with my breakfast tacos we're not homemade but rather store bought. I can't rate them any higher due to this fact. Is this always the case or maybe I went during an off time. The flavor of the potato and egg and bacon and egg were good but the tortillas ruined it.

Every time I go here, the service is phenomenal. The staff is friendly and the food comes out so fast! I usually get the soft tacos and switch out some of the toppings like adding cilantro and onions and they never up-charge or make a fuss about changing things up. Honestly the best tacos around in Corpus Christi. They also support Islander Athletics!!
