Taqueria 4 Vientos

Very much a hole in the wall, outdoor seating only! Therefore, a few challenges with flies!!! However, the good is absolutely delicious! Starter beans, traditional Mexican charro beans need no additional salt or pepper, seasoned perfectly! The Sincronizada is huge, enough to share with at least 2 or 3 people!!! Overall great tasting food, just the don't care for the extra guests that join you- the flies!!!!

Ive never been the one to leave a bad review, but this place has bad customer service. As soon as i walked in no one greeted me. The server took for ever to come and take my order but was quiet attentive towards other customers. Their potatoes are ok and the hot dogs are ok as well. 3 starts because nothing bothers me more than a bad server.

This place is pretty good, but you have to have cash!!! You know it's authentic when they don't have a credit card machine. The tacos are fantastic. You can get them dipped in grease or not, I like the ones that are..

Homemade homemade homemade...Baked potato wash whipped then topped with all the fixings. Food came out piping hot and delicious. When we first arrived they greeted us with a bowl of beans.

I love stopping here when I visit Edinburg. The place is outdoor eating or parking service . I love it the servers come to your car no getting down. The potato with meat if fantastic. A giant baked potato that is pureed seasoned and topped with your choice of meat, cheese sour cream etc. Their green salsa is pretty spicy but worth the burn. Its so freaking good.Their tacos are MX street tacos with your choice of meat, raw onion, cilantro and they come with grilled seasoned onions and borracho beans. The choice of drinks are only MX choice including MX coke( if togo they will put it in a cup) and a line of MX soft drinks. I asked if they had can and was told no. Overall this place is a great stop if you are in N. Edinburg off Monte Cristo.

Driving out on Monte Cristo road, this is a place you could miss if you didn't know about the delicious tacos, papas & tortas inside the '4 vientos'.You can park in front of one of the openings and get curb ordering service if you prefer taking it to go. I love sitting down at one of the large picnic tables with family or friends and enjoying delicious, authentic Mexican tacos & potatoes. The friendly waitress brings around charro beans with cilantro and pork fat swimming around the cup before the meal begins. Then comes my Fanta de Naranja (orange is the way to go) or Mexican Coke. My personal favorite are the bistek or beef fajita tacos on corn tortillas (you can get a mixture of corn & flour). The tacos come stuffed with meat, chopped onions and cilantro and if you ask, also can include grilled onions & lime on the side. Don't forget to add avocado if that's your thing & try their homemade, fresh and spicy salsas! I promise you that one should avoid ordering a potato for each person as those huuuge (which is probably an understatement) potatoes are enough for 3-4 people. Unlike a typical taqueria that throws sour cream, butter and cheese atop a papa, 4 Vientos mixes it into the entire potato so every bite has an equal (and insane) amount of cheese, sour cream or butter. You've also got the option to add meat onto your potato if you aren't in a taco mood!Don't come here if you're on a diet or looking to consume a salad, come for delicious, authentic taqueria eats, friendly/fast service and a MexiCoke!

So yummy but staff were irritated by the rush so the service wasn't the best. I would recommend taking the good to go!

Meat is not good. They have used the same SALSA since they opened (for years, it's not good at all!)They only take cash (very inconvenient) & there's no air conditioner

One star only because I could give a minus 10. The food was tasteless, dry and disgusting. We didn't even try to finish it. We paid for the garbage and left. The place is rusty and nasty, flys everywhere. Do the community a favor and shut it down

What a great little find. Super friendly staff that was great to point out how I could try multiple tacos with different fillings and tortilla types. The bistek with hand rolled corn tortillas were my favorite! Cash only, but they have an ATM if you forget. You can also drive up and they will come to your car for a takeout order.Garage doors open up the dining area, so may be a little warm in the summer, but was perfect temp the day I went. Would definitely recommend!!
