Taiyo Sushi Fusion

I tried this place a couple times already, so my review is based on that. Starting with the spicy garlic edamame its always fresh and hot. The tempura shrimp roll is my favorite, and I can confirm the hibachi chicken and steak is 10/10. I've tried all the desserts and my favorite one is the chocolate cake. The service is good & the restaurant looks clean.

Amazing sashimi bowl! Very warm and friendly service and such fresh fish. The octopus was outstanding in flavor and freshness.

I wish I could give 3.5 stars. Taiyo was quick and good. I found it to be a little pricey. I got the chicken teriyaki which came with soup and a salad. I also ordered the caterpillar roll. It was SO much food. Do not know what I was thinking ordering all of that! Everything was good except the chicken. I thought it was tough and not really flavorful. Next time I will probably just stick to sushi. Wait staff were really nice and location was easy to find/park.

What a great find! The Taiyo sushi roll was delicious and the Taiwanese Hot Pot was so full of flavor with something new to try in each bite. We finished with the Creme Brûlée which was a perfect sweet conclusion. Highly recommend when in Port Lavaca!

WOW! Super impressed with the food and service. We were in town to visit family in the area from Houston.

Finally some decent sushi in Port Lavaca, hard to find up here. Opened a few weeks ago so they were a bit disorganized when taking my order, I guess it's normal. Staff is very attentive, greeted with a smile as soon as you walk in. They still didn't serve alcohol when I stopped by, real bummer, waiting on their license I guess.I ordered the California and Bluefin Tuna Roll, I enjoyed both very much. Not plated fancy or anything but still easy on the eyes, everything tasted fresh. Place has a nice authentic feel.Will be stopping by soon to try other rolls, highly recommend it.

Food was amazing. I told waitress that I had never been here and she suggested a couple rolls that were amazing. Very fresh and also looked great. Saki was hot and beer was cold.

Incredible the food is great the aesthetic is pretty good and the service is pretty good it's a restaurant from my childhood I will never forget.

Favorite place to eat in Port Lavaca. Service has always been wonderful! Atmosphere good, very clean, maintained well and nice decor. The menu is good and certainly offers delicious options for my non sushi eating friends. A bit pricey but it is a guilty pleasure! Try the Flaming Tiger! A taste explosion.
