Tacos Zayra

I haven't lived in Freeport in many years and on this visit went looking for Mexican food. Zayra fit the bill amazingly well. I just had a couple of bacon, egg and cheese on flour tortilla tacos (my breakfast go to meal), and the weight of my to go bag let me know it was way more than I could eat, so the homeless man down the street had a breakfast feast, too! Didn't try the green sauce, but the red was really flavorful with a kick. A block off of hwy 288, so you might need to look for it. Thank you, Taco Zayra!

This is my workgroup's go-to place for breakfast tacos. They have different combinations and meats you can throw in the breakfast taco, but we usually go for the sausage and egg or bacon and egg. Portions are plentiful, as the tacos are usually fully stuffed with eggs and meat. Owner is very sweet - sometimes he's the only one running the show, but he can whip out the tacos pretty quickly.They give a red sauce and green sauce to go with your taco - red is spicy, green is mild. Pro-tip: adding cheese to your breakfast taco is an extra $0.50.I also hear their street tacos are really good, so I'm looking forward to trying those someday. Prices are cheap and super reasonable, less than $3 for a breakfast taco. CASH-ONLY, so bring cash with you!

The food was very flavorful. The prices were moderate for the area and the service was second to none. I'll definitely be a repeat customer at Tacos Zayra!

Authentic and always delicious. These folks have been around for years, and you just can't go wrong. I'll admit the feel is a little "divey," but don't let that stop you. Hit them up, grab a plate of street tacos with avocado, some elote in a cup, and a Mexican Coke. You will thank me.

Very authentic tacos and the workers are super nice and friendly, especially if you can talk to them in Spanish. The $3 horchata was very good and came in a big cup too (just ask for less ice). The taquitos were awesome and my friends enjoyed their quesadillas. The corn was delicious but personally too spicy for me. I would definitely go there more often if I lived closer.

Cash only. Ask for the fresh veggies. It's beyond delicious. Drive thru order at window. Takes less than 3 minutes to get authentic Tex Mex.

Really yummy, authentic street tacos. We tried the chicken, beef fajita and pastor and liked them all. Friendly staff.

Some of my favorite tacos in Texas. Steak tacos are delicious and my favorite here. The pastor is pretty good too. The charro beans are amazing. Plus really nice people that were working here. Super reasonably priced. Cash only.

I recommend the horchata,the Al pastor tacos and the torta!!! The meat is really good and the frijoles and arroz !!!!!
