Tacos El Plebe

food was fantastic and full of flavor. staff was excellent. the music was excellent as well. definitely get the 5 taco sampler!

Disappointed about this location! I had high hopes for this taqueria, since we visit the McAllen location often but unfortunately, it fell short. I was embarrassed that I had suggested it to a group of 15 friends The food lacked flavor. My tacos were bland, and the meat over chopped and dry. The barbacoa tacos had too much liquid that it made my tacos all soggy making the tortilla fall apart. Service was also disappointing. Despite it not being busy, my order took an unreasonable amount of time, over an hour to be exact. The staff seemed overwhelmed despite the fact that the restaurant wasn't full. It seemed that they were not trained for big groups. We won't be returning at all. I just hope that the McAllen location doesn't follow and lose the taste, quality and customer service that got them on the map!

El Plebe has become our new go-to for an evening of good food and drinks after our long drive from Houston.The service has been good the times we have visited and our orders come out in a timely manner. The vibe is pretty cool, they do have loud music playing and this past weekend they had someone singing live music. We tried the nachos (half order)- I would rate them a 5/10. They serve a good portion however our chips were stale. We have also tried the papa with the meat- 7/10 pretty good, great portions. My fiancé really liked it. This would be a repeat order for him, for me personally, I would try something else. Lastly, 9/10 is the giant quesadilla. This is what you go to El Plebe for! It is delicious and definitely a shareable. You can share it between 2-3 persons. The flavor is fantastic and unmatched. You cannot go wrong with this order. We add crushed takis to the taco. It's sooo good!

Save your money. This place has terrible service and really bad food. Taco Bell has better food than this place. NEVER coming here again. How it has good reviews confuses me. They probably bought them. SMH

Had an amazing experience! The beans were absolutely amazing and the Paloma that I had was to die for! Definitely want to go back to try the other specialty cocktails that they had to offer!!

I love this place for tacos! Really anything on their menu is GREAT! The beans & their drinks are all wonderful. The wait staff is nice and happy you're there. The vibe of the restaurant is a comfortable, bringing an outdoor picnic setting inside! I really enjoy this place! It gets from me!! Keep up the good work you guys!!

Fast and friendly service, delicious food and a nice dog friendly patio! As other reviewers have said the beans are the bomb. The Dip Belicon (Queso) seemed expensive at $13.99 but it was every bit worth it - the server recommended stirring it up before digging in, and she was right. There's all kinds of deliciousness below the surface. The Birria taco was very good. I'm glad we stumbled on this place, and will definitely be returning. We understand there is also a location in McAllen that has been open 3 years or so.

I don't submit a lot of reviews on this app but this place deserves one. In from out of town and walked to this place from my hotel. I had the sampler - each of the five tacos was delicious and different. The beans were awesome. I realize getting excited about beans is odd, but they're that good. They don't have a full liquor license so my margarita was made with wine liquor and it was great too. Not too sweet, not too tart. Service was great. My only heads up is that there are no vegetarian options on the menu. Would be great if they added a couple of veggie options so more people could enjoy what they do here

After multiple visits here my opinion remains unchanged. Great food, great service, and a relaxing atmosphere. Now with a full bar!
