I've been to Taco Palenque multiple times now in Laredo and seriously, for fast food you can't beat the taste and value. We typically share enchiladas and tacos, all of which I've enjoyed (especially the callejera enchiladas). Also their buffet of toppings and chips, unlimited, is generous and fresh, too.If you've never tried Taco Palenque give them a try! This particular location was clean and well organized, though it took a little longer than expected for our order.

Definitely a hometown staple. I've been coming here for as long as I can remember and I can't leave Laredo without at least a couple of visits (sorry New Braunfels and San Antonio locations are just not the same).After a cold and brutal bike ride we settled in to restore all the burned calories with some coffee and tacos and of course chips and salsa.The potato and egg taco was tasty, but had obviously been sitting out for a while as it wasn't hot or fresh, even though service was slow this morning. The bean and cheese was also great and nice and hot, plus it comes with a second tortilla so all the dropped filling makes another taco (I refuse to admit the beans are not vegetarian, ignorance is heavenly bliss in this case). The coffee is self serve so you can get all your little heart desires. My sister likes to add horchata to the coffee. Although I didn't try that because I needed straight up coffee, it's something I'd like to try.The salsa bar: Avocado salsa, tomatillo salsa, red salsa, pico de gallo, cucumbers, cilantro, radishes, cabbage, pickled onions, roasted jalapeños, Serrano peppers, serve your own chips at no additional cost. Hands down the best part of the dining experience. I love the avocado salsa with lime and cilantro, the tomatillo salsa, and the grilled jalapeños the best. My only complaint is that the quality is inconsistent and the orders are some times wrong. The food is always good, but at times everything is great and fresh, other times it's obviously been sitting out, cold, and stale. Nonetheless, it's a must do when I'm in town.

I truly didn't like this place while I lived in Laredo, but once I left, I now see it as "the one that got away." As I travel the country looking for good Mexican food, I find myself lacking and empty...a soulless shell of a man walking down the lonely road of culinary fulfillment thinking to myself..."I used to have it all." Everything I wanted in a Mexican restaurant was there...at Taco Palenque. However, I took it for granted. From the papa con fajita to the chicken flautas to the homemade chicken soups to the bottomless chips and salsa, this place had it all...and I walked out of heaven...LOL!Seriously though, if you can get past the Spanglish speaking drive thru attendant and the occasional erroneous orders, which incidentally is how I found out about papa con fajitas, then you will love this place.

Food is good but drive thru terrible. Dont expect to get thru quickly. Went in the morning to buy a breakfast taco and had to pull up n even wait for that when there were only 2 other cars ordering breakfast.

Every time i go, something is either wrong or missing. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Order a side? Got a taco of it instead. Got a super quesadilla with guacamole and the guac was ALL OVER THE BAG because they- literally- threw it in the bag... Or worse: ITS MISSING. the food tastes great, but its actually somewhere worth ordering from when, and if, they get it right
