Stopped in early one afternoon, just before they closed for the day. Ordered a small order of chicken tacos - excellent lunch! I was on my way back to Houston from the Tenaris plant, basically across the street. I probably wouldn't have stopped otherwise, but the charm of this little shack drew me in. I'm glad I stopped! Great service and excellent food.

The Hippo is a must try although fair warning it's enough for breakfast lunch and dinner!! & the salsa is on point! My mouth is watering writing this review it's sad I don't go to Bay City anymore but if I'm ever in the area I know where I'm going!

Fast, easy and delicious. Walk up to the window, pay cash (only) and walk away with amazing breakfast tacos. If you can't make up your mind on what to order, the hippo is like all tacos combined. Eat in the parking lot or there is a picnic table outside. Authentic barbacoa. Bad for the heart, good for the soul.

First off, cash only. It is literally a walk up and order and eat in car place. No where to sit. No worries because we are fans of taco stands. Options were limited. Eggs were pre-made, aka we couldn't order just a potato and cheese taco. It had to be potato egg & cheese. My son likes eggs beans cheese so in this case it had to be either bacon/egg, potato/egg, or chorizo/egg. Between the 5 of us we had, chorizo/egg, barbacoa, potato/egg, bacon/egg.Barbacoa was greatChorizo/egg was a bit dry but I liked itPotato/egg had absolutely no flavorBacon/egg was alrightEach taco was $2.75-$3.00 + $0.50 for cheeseThe tacos were large so I feel it was priced accordingly. The only sauce they had was red which was nice and hot. I probably won't go out of my way to try this place again but it was ok or goodish.

Taco Loco started locally, used to be an early morning stop for me there in Old Ocean back in the 2000's, probably been there longer than that. There was one in Angleton when I was a kid. Now I here are Taco Loco's popping up everywhere down here in our little part of the country. The Fajita is super good, pair it with rice and beans and it's serious. The potatoes they make are super good too, pair them with bacon and egg, BAM!. The salsa they make wouldn't be to awesome as a dip, as it seems like it's more geared to their flavor of taco, and man, its awesome on their tacos. The best thing about this little blue taco shop is it's been the same since it began. Good food at a good price and it's never hit or miss. You visit any one of them and you are gonna get exactly what you expect every time, heck yeah. Last but not least, it's a grab and go, 2-3 minutes wait at worst usually. Wish they had one in Clute/LJ area.Sub note....it is a cash only operation, 5 bucks in your pocket is all you should need to have an awesome breakfast and still have enough left over to leave a tip.
