Nice, casual dining option on the second floor of the Omni Hotel Corpus Christi. I was "stuck" at the hotel during our recent South Texas Winter storm and had ample time to explore all the dining options.I first experienced the menu via the In-Room Dining. Later, I had lunch at the restaurant. Food choices were good the Short Rib Poppers really popped. Think of a bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeno. The Roasted Corn & Crab Chowder was exactly what you want with lots of crab and corn in a creamy chowder base. I can also vouch for the burger.Overall, the place was a good size, friendly staff and good food.

We had a little mixup with our room service because of Mother's Day crowds and the manager ( Lauren) went out of her way to make it up to us. she invited us downstairs to dine in on the second floor. All three dishes on the second floor at this cute little dining area attached to the bar came out great! . All dishes were amazing. They did a very good job with this restaurant. Today was super busy because of Mother's Day and a big thank you to all the employees who worked so hard today.

The food was amazing! We loved our appetizers and entrees. Both of us completely cleared our plates. The restaurant itself is so pretty! I loved the big windows and plants everywhere. The service was amazing. Big shout out to Corbin. He waited on us and was so informed on all the menus and has such a good vibe. Thank you Corbin for making our dinner so wonderful.

It appears The Omni is cleaning up its reception and 2nd floor bar/restaurant. The restaurant and bar on floor two are inviting spaces. Good job!! Are the guest rooms next? Switchgrass is a vast improvement over the Republic of Texas upstairs. Service is getting there and with a little more training it should be spot on. Please tell the very nice waitress you have a vegetable MEDLEY on the menu not MELODY. She was also unprepared to handle the persistent flies infesting our table! This was very off putting! The food was nicely prepared and beautifully plated. A little salty for my taste but that's minor. The menu has a nice variety and should appeal to a variety of tastes. Good luck with keeping a consistently good product for the more than $50 per person average bill! I encourage reserving a table here and AVOID THE REPUBLIC OF TEXAS until they get that room cleaned up!

recently stayed here for a conference. The rooms are outdated and there was rust on the bathroom fixtures. I also had a major incident with the restaurant in the hotel. A colleague and I ate lunch on day 3 of the conference. When I paid, the servers switched my debit card with someone else's at another table. I did not realize this until later when trying to purchase something elsewhere. I was able to track down the other person whose card I had been given, but she was already traveling back to her home and was several hours away by that point. When I told restaurant management, they could not care less and offered no solutions. They were not concerned that I was in a different city with no debit card. It was incredibly disheartening that they could not offer any help and just said, "oh the cards looked similar." That is unacceptable to me. I attempted to complain to the hotel manager and was directed to the concierge supervisor. The concierge supervisor was concerned but only passed me back to the restaurant and asked them to ask the other individual if she could overnight me my card to the hotel. That inconvenienced her even further after we were both incredibly inconvenienced due to negligence. They told me they would call the other person and then get in touch with me to inform me of the outcome. They never got in touch with me and I assume they just threw my concerns away. I will never stay or eat at other Omni company. I still do not have my card and it has been radio silence from the hotel and restaurant.
