Steph's hair and nail salon

I called on a Tuesday to see what availability they had and asked the cost of a mens haircut. The woman that answered said that there was no available appointments that day, I should come in on walk in Wednesday, and that a mens haircut was $15. I came in Wednesday and there was one stylist working and just finishing an appointment, so there would be a short wait. When the stylist was done with her client I confirmed the pricing I was given over the phone and was told the price was $20, and that all of the stylist charge $20, except that Steph may charge less. The cut was fine, but I wouldn't have come in for $20, and I should have been told over the phone that pricing would vary by who I saw. Disappointing because it is so close to my house and the other reviews were good.

I am a native of Corpus Christi and often search Yelp to inquire what other locals say about a business. Personal care services are very important to me bc a bad hair cut or color can not be quickly undone. Caleigh has been my hairdresser/colorist for many years. She is top notch and provides services that you would expect to receive at a high end salon. She is the person I recommend to my family, friends, colleagues and strangers who ask about my hair. Crystal is another hair dresser at the same salon. She is my back up gal when Caleigh is unavailable and I'm in a pinch. She is equally superb to Caleigh's talent. Not to be excluded from this review is AJ. He cuts my son's hair, beard and shapes his eyebrows. My son is super picky about his hair and is never disappointed with AJ's services. This little salon in Flour Bluff is a hidden gem in Corpus Christi. Don't let the location or size of salon be the reason you pass on this salon. These folks will not disappoint you. They are friendly, welcoming and treat you like family. You will leave there looking and feeling like your best self. As far as their prices go, you would expect to pay far more for the quality of their work. I have followed this trio from one salon to this one and will continue to do so if they ever leave.
