Staples Street Meat Market

This is a nice market serving affordable cuts of meat. They also have some produce, frozen specialty meats, alcohol, canned products, and seasonings.Inside the market does have a bit of a funky smell but I have noticed that all of the meat is red and fresh. I don't have a problem with it personally. They do make their own sausages and chorizo which is great! And it is a really great price! One small package of pan sausage cost me about $1.50.Location is on Staples and Yorktown Blvd right across the street from the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.

The service was terrible and the product was botched... Suprising that the owner is actually so rude to his customers too. When i look at the product im spending hard earned money on i want, QUALITY. This is the second occasion this has happened...First time with my boss and i... now this time when i went in on my own. I will not be coming here again. (As a private sous chef id rather take my business elsewhere) Honestly was an emergency and we needed tenderloin steaks (spent over 145) for a client, on the fly. Would rather drive out to Robstown or Callalen or anywhere next time. The only saving grace were his employees. So thanks to these amazing employees for actually helping me out and not acting like a d***s..

This place NEVER answers the phone! You have to drive there just to find out "they don't have any" hopefully the "Owner" or staff Manager reads this review and hires a person to ANSWER THE PHONE. There are other places that "ANSWERS" the phone I'll just shop at those places.Do you know the price of GAS?

Hands down the best meat market in South Texas. Great products from local ranchers, etc. Owned and operated by the friendliest down-to-earth people. And wouldn't you know it, it is currently within walking distance from where I reside on the Southside. They will be moving down the road in the next year or so to a brand new bigger facility. It will be slightly more inconvenient to me, but the expansion is much needed given their current business demands. If you are in Corpus and plan to do some grilling or throw a barbecue, this is your place!

This is our ONLY go to meat market. Service is always great! They just opened their new location so it is pristine. Cuts of steak for everyone's budget. Fresh of everything. Locally owned. Ambiance... it's a meat market, it's smells like fresh meat!

This a finger on the scale type of establishment. It is in your best interest to keep an eye on everything that they do, as they will take advantage of you. The staff (both behind the meat counter and at the register) are young, and all equally rude. And they do not even try and attempt to hide their frustration if you just so happen to interrupt their conversations taking place with one another. Additionally, I am not sure if the "kitchen Cops" have ever visited this location or not, but, I would be very interested to see their report. This place is filthy from the floors to the ceilings and everywhere in between. Their protein offerings (steak, chicken, pork, etc) have, in my experiences, been of a poor quality (texture and taste) and have not been anything that you would expect to find at a "meat market". Their pre made items, have at times been good, but I feel as if they just slap a new sell by date on them and let them sit, which, is why I have steered clear of them for quite some time now. All that being said, the ONE and ONLY reason I go to this market is for their poppers, which, are all pretty solid and hands down the best in the area.

Went in on 4/08/23 hoping to purchase some items. Upon opening the door to the establishment was the stench of spoilage. Went to look at the meat and at the bottom of the meat case was a plastic liner that was catching the blood of the meat. Blood was on the floor which was also discolored due to not being mopped and cleaned. I left in disgust . I even parked across the street due to limited parking in such cramped area. This is definitely a great way to lose customers. Apparently it has been addressed on a past newscast and unfortunately the owners didn't take action.

Smell the meat before you take it home. 3 times I've gotten meat from here and cooked it within hours just to find out it's spoiled. And when you try to take it back, the owner will call you a liar and bicker with you. He will try to make you feel stupid. I understand this can happen, but he needs to be a little more gracious. Just admit the fault and take the lick. This is seriously about no more than 30 dollars worth of meat. He would rather lose a long time customer.

I purchased a package of 4 bacon wrapped chopped sirloin. Within 2 hours of eating, my SO and I were worshipping the porcelain God. It was so bad that we threw away the other $30.00 worth of meat we had purchased. I do not recommend. Buyer Beware!
