The boat to charter! Larry took out a group of 5 adventurous women the 16th of August. Four of us had zero experience but not only was Larry patient and knowledgeable but he put us right on the fish! We caught our quota and he made sure we were as involved as we wanted to be (which was doing everything including driving the boat, gaffing a fish, and grabbing the tail of the fish to pull it in the boat). Fish on!!

Fished with Larry on Aug. 31, 2018. My brother-in-law & his wife have fished several times with Larry. They have always caught fish on his boat, even the newbies caught fish. On our trip out, Larry said the bay was not producing any fish. He took us to several locations south of the 3 sisters oil platforms. We trolled & also bait fished. If we didn't catch fish within a short time, we moved. Because of the distance, we travelled with another boat(buddy boat) in case of break downs.Larry doesn't get excited easily. His main goal is to keep his people fishing and teach those, like my wife how to fish and have fun doing it. He will at times let his clients handle the boat, if he knows you can. So that he can help other people on the boat get back to fishing or boat the fish. My wife had only fished 1 time before, on this trip she caught a bunch of red snappers, and a King. Our trip ended with 4 limits of red snapper & 7 kings, and 1 Spanish.Larry's boat handling is superb. He often checks on his passengers to make sure they're doing ok. I speak from my experience in L/E boat patrol in San Joaquin delta, in ca.When fishing with Larry he supplies all gear & bait. You bring your food/drink(water a must), sunscreen, hat, clothing for the time of year, plastic bags for your catch. Also have water proof bags for your stuff( clothes, phone, etc). Suggestion, don't carry your electronics on your person when on the boat. People going overboard is not uncommon, during our trip, I went overboard, and a guy on the other boat went overboard, he LOST his phone.When I come back to Corpus Christie, I plan to fish with Larry again, he makes feel welcome, like a friend, a relative.
