South Pointe Apartments

At first glance, these apartments look nice and they are until you need something repaired. It shouldn't take maintenace longer than a few days to repair something broken in your unit. Here, it takes weeks for a work order to be complete. One of my major appliances broke and I had to wait weeks for it to be fixed. Kept getting excuses to why it was taking so long. It was a hassel just to get the office staff to take my issue seriously. I've lived here for almost a year. The staff are very friendly (if you catch them on a good day) The complex is fairly clean, except for the occassional dog feces left behind by their owners and the excessive roach problem. The one dumpster they have for the entire complex is always overflowing with garbage bags. It's a sight for sore eyes. Tenants are somewhat courteous. They have a small park area for kids but there are always kids playing in the street. It's located next to good schools and resturants. The pool is always dirty or closed and so is the fitness center. We pay to be able to use both but can hardly ever get to utilize them. This apartment complex gets one star from me because none of the rooms have light fixures. You have to have at leat six lamps in your own apartment just to be able to see. Soon as my year lease is up, I'm moving out.

Apartment complex was pretty decent years ago. Been here over 6 yrs and for the last 2 yrs have been having issues with our AC. Mind u we have kids and in the middle of summer it's in the high 80s inside this apt. Maintenance and management used to care more but I guess patches and simple fixes to save money is what matters most. Some day some eldery person or child is gonna die of heat exhaustion here at these apts and I sure hope management and maintenance is liable. Anyway, if you decide to take a dip in the pool to cool off don't bother. It's never open even in the summer and by the chance it is you can only go during office hours. Their excuse year round is that it's under maintenance and needs to be cleaned. Also expect a major pipe break every 2 to 3 months and to be without water. Mail boxes get broken into regularly. Trash is thrown everywhere besides inside the compactor and occasionally trash bags are in the street due to folks driving off and forgetting they had it loaded on their ride. Damn, I wish I could say something positive but Id be bullshitting. This is a good/ok apt complex to kickstart your life but I recommend finding something better. The negatives really outweigh the positives here. I plan on moving real soon.

Maintenance Staff are very good and helpful to all, Office Staff is friendly,helpfull and kid friendly to,the grounds are keep very good and pic up.I would Like to let you all know that this place welcome my sister and me like we weregreat friends for a long time this place I would call my home forever.

The Apartments themselves are not bad. When you are inquiring about the apartments the staff are sugary sweet to you and all helpful but that changes once you move into the apartments. First of all they have a swimming pool and weight room which can ONLY be used during office hours due to vandalism. Kids that live on property and ones that don't are always in the streets and do not get out of the way when cars are driving through. Tenants park in the street causing it to be one lane instead of two. And the parking is straight outta hell. Although there is no assigned parking spaces, people who live in apartments have to fight to get a space to park due to some tenants having more than two cars and/or unauthorized people that are not on the lease taking up spaces along with people from other buildings on property parking in another buildings parking lots. Some people who have only one car and are paying tenants are left without a parking space. When you report that you had no place to park you are told there is no assigned parking and they DO NOTHING about others with three cars taking up space, unauthorized occupants, ect. Although they have two people living on property but must be blind cause apparently they never see anything that violates lease policy. The turnaround in management and staff is something else also.
