Our guide Scott McCune launched our trip from here. It was clean. The dock has been rebuilt with easy access to the channels of Aransas Bay. The staff was kind and friendly.

Mike D's review is tragic and cowardly. This place helped complete our vacation by finding a last minute bay charter with a very experienced guide that helped us load up with 9 Red Drum in the half day charter.Mike D, more than likely, snubbed his "1%'r" nose at the place because it is rustic and not a high-end overpriced company. It sounds as though he couldn't bare to go into the water and stayed in the rustic place throughout the day while his friends left him. After all, this is just a place for you to be picked up or launched from not spend the night.I would recommend this place so long as you have an open mind and not a bigoted closed mind like Mike D. We had a blast and our fish was cleaned for us right in front of us. They even took the time to explain what parts of the fish to watch out for and how to safely eat them.

Best bait stand. They just got a new building since Harvey destroyed the old stand...big bad red, white, and blue - can't miss it! Maryanne is awesome. Just watch her filet a fish and you know not to cross her. Lol. Rent a little boat and they will tell you the best places to fish for the day....or she can hook you up with bay and deep sea charters. Definitely recommend this bait stand for all your fishing needs!

I Would Not Advise going to this place .They will Only take cash as your deposit and then they will Not give your deposit back ..The boats are old . We rented two and they both over heated .Had to tow one back in..Mike is Very Rude ..and laughs about keeping your deposit ..He says this happens all the time ..We Will never go there again . They can steel other people's money. Very Unprofessional !!!!

The building had seen better days, and the interactions with MaryAnn can be a little gruff, but I'm not checking in to a Sheraton...I'm going fishing. Our boat (Wrecklamation) was not fancy, but affordable, and our deckhand was very helpful. We got our limit on sharks, and pulled in one king mackerel, so we certainly didn't get skunked. At the end of the day, MaryAnn cleaned our fish for a reasonable rate and gave us some helpful hints for preparing the meat. So, a little lacking on the pleasantries? Yes. Functional? Also, yes.
