What a great family and fantastic donuts. Very nice place and a good selection of donuts every day. Always grab a fresh milk to go with the Apple fritters. The young man who works there is always so polite and friendly which must make his parents proud. Love this place and return regularly

So we read the reviews on this place and knew there had to be at least one trip here during our visit to Shiner. The selection was very good. We had the ham & cheese kolaches (oh yes please), cinnamon rolls (big & fluffy) and our standard donut favorites and everything was really soft, fresh, and delightful. The reviews are spot on, folks. Go here. Now.

Kolaches were good, not the best I have ever had. That bar is set by slovacheks in West. Service was fast and efficient but could have been friendlier.

At this place, the donuts were very fresh & delicious! The ONLY reason for the four star is the gal behind the donut display who served me, seemed like she wanted to hurry up & get the service done & me out of there. Really strange experience. But as mentioned, the food was delicious!

Johnny W is correct about this being the best donut place in the area, because it is the only donut place in the area. But it is not bad at all, and occasionally excellent, and the Asian-Texan (this will become relevant later) couple that runs it are very nice. The donuts are fine, and they have some fun icing/sprinkle color combinations. The bacon/egg/cheese biscuit didn't do it for me. The biscuit was too sweet. The apple fritter is not bad. BUT.They have a jalapeno boudin kolache that is SPICY AND AMAZING. I highly recommend it to everyone, mostly because it is very delicious, and partially because you are eating the most melting pot Texas food item EVER. In one kolache, you have the opportunity to eat an Asian Mexican French Czech dish. Say yes to delicious; say yes to Texas.

This donut shop is awful. We have gone several times and they are always out of donuts. 9 o'clock on a Saturday and sold out. They refuse to make more even if you offer to wait and buy extra. To top it off the lady who is always working there is so rude. She rushes you out the store doesn't even bother giving you what you ordered.

Decided to bring my family from Nashville to Shiner and spend some time at our family farm. Snowflake donuts is conveniently located to where we are staying. Only leaving the negative review due to our experience. While donuts and kolaches seem to be good at best, they are expensive for what you get and the staff is very unfriendly and rude. Not at all expected in the small and friendly town of Shiner. This isn't the first time I've experienced this, so it's the norm in my opinion. Next, and the main reason for the negative review is my wife asked me to get her a coffee refill. The coffee pot was empty and I wanted to ask for permission. I had to wait for several minutes before I got any service since it appears they were making donuts in the back. I finally got their attention and mentioned the coffee pot was empty and if I could get a refill. I watched the lady walk over and pull the coffee and didn't dump out the old grounds and just put a tiny amount of fresh grounds on top and re-ran the old coffee grounds. I then questioned if she put new grounds in the coffee which she said she did. I questioned her and asked if she just re-run the old coffee grounds. She didn't say anything and just shrugged her shoulders and walked away back to the back of the store. So needless to say, service is poor and quality is poor when you pay top dollar ($85 for two days) for coffee and donuts. We will be taking our money elsewhere from now on. Only leaving one star, but would leave negative stars if it was possible.

Look, I'll start this off by being honest. it's 5 in the morning. I'm blackout. Me and my boy? We got hungry. We walk into this fine establishment. The smell of fresh bread overhwhelmed us. We were greeted by two orientals. I was ecstatic! We order our 1 dozen mini wieners wrapped in divine woven pastry..... and one single boudi. Only to our demise, to stumble upon the despairing fact... that the card readers were no longer available. Panic arises. We are requested to go across the street to 7/11 and perform a cash back transaction. only to realize that tapping the card doesn't offer cash back after purchasing one single tall boy smart water. To our demise, we purchase a single lollipop and proceed with the standard chip insert to recieve our cash back. We then scurry over back across the street to snowflake donut. and make a joking remark to receive a free donut, in response, they call us the N word (We are white?).

Omg years and years ago my dad brought me doughnuts from there and they tasted like they'd been sprayed with hairspray first. We didn't finish them and hadn't been back for 15 years. Finally I had my boyfriend go get some two weeks ago while we got ready for church and he came back empty handed saying they tasted like "chemicals" and that he threw them out on his way in the house. I'd never told him the hairspray story but when I asked him if they tasted like hairspray he was just wide eyed wondering how I knew! I figure they just get a cleaning product too close to the doughnuts but whose to know. I don't trust it!
