The ladies here are really great at listening to your needs before attempting to recommend a machine if that is what you are looking for. We came in there after having purchased two different machines from two of their brands at big box stores and returning them both due to the inability to sew what we wanted to. After they showed us some tricks to sewing the material we needed stitch together, they recommended a machine that didn't break the bank. So far, that machine has worked flawlessly. They offer sewing lessons and unlimited questions and answers about whatever you have purchased. The ladies are also very knowledgeable about all things sewing.

WOW! I've never been so upset about lies and terrible service from somewhere that I immediately got online to tell everyone!Advised by another resident, I took my sewing machine to Singer in Corpus for a "cleaning" on Monday. They thought I would be as disrespectful as other who had come in and they spouted off "oh you can get a new one like this for $70 which is less than we'll charge you for cleaning it!" The two different quotes from them was $80-95; I'd expected up to $100 and never had a problem with that. They were adamant that I could get a new one for $70. "Okay, fine. Show me where I can get a heavy duty machine that can handle jeans for $70 and I'll walk out with it right now, because this one was $200-250 13 years ago."Them- "Oh! We don't having anything like that, I was just telling you what other people tell us!"Me-"Oh, so your statement was not based on your own research but on what other people have spouted off to you?"Them- "Well, yes, it was and I'm sorry, I guess I shouldn't have said that to you,; I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to all the people who come in here and say that; I've heard it four times today already." (It was around 11AM)Then they tried to sell me a machine that was on sale for $300. I told them that I came in for cleaning/ repairs and I'd seek advice from my friends who sew (I'd already told them that I was a novice and never formally taught.)At lunch with friends, they were in disbelief at how I'd been treated but told me to tell them to clean the dang thing like I'd asked!A few minutes ago, I brought it back in and was approached by a third lady. From four feet away and with some attitude she already began to say "there will be an additional $20 charge, just so you know,"Me- "um, ok, what for?"Her-pointing to s paper "$89 for cleaning and $20 for excessively dirty machines."Me- "ok, but i was just in here on Monday and two different ladies gave me two different quotes and neither of them referenced that..."In the end, I spoke to her manager which was the original lady with whom I'd spoken on Monday who made the $70 remark so many times. Today, she said several things: "I'm sorry I was not honest with you on Monday that we don't want to work on your machine; it's old and rusted and obviously not taken care of, and we don't want to take care of it either."Wow. Both visits, I was calm, humble and just seeking help from people who know more than I do. I am in the parking lot still in disbelief at having been treated this way. I offer this post as a public service announcement to anyone else who it may affect. I offer prayers for the two "ladies" in the store today; given that the mood/ atmosphere in Monday was significantly different, I chose to believe that they must be experiencing something today; it still does not excuse the treatment I was given today and I intend to never give them business again. Now, I guess I need to locate the other sewing machine service company here in town!

We live 45 minutes away and are always pleased with the service and attention we get from Susan and her team. No question is a dumb question with them. They are happy to help and are wonderful with machine repairs. Haven't taken any of the classes yet, but it is on the bucket list!

I will not give this business even 1 star. I took my Janome 11000 in yesterday for service and Carolyn totally destroyed it. I will be getting in touch with Janome Corp offices..not right. I have to give this store at least 1 star to post it!
