I went to see Dr. Shoemaker after my general doctor found a cyst on my ovary and she told me just to take pain meds. Dr. Shoemaker although he is male is extremely professional and kept me at ease! I started seeing him when I was 20 yrs. old. He is really sweet and kind and his office staff is great! I had my son in January (2009) and he was my doctor throughout my pregnancy and he also did my c-section which he did a great job at that too!! I hated that I had to move to Austin and I still am trying to decide if I want to drive back down to CC to get my annual.. Highly recommend him. During my pregnancy I also saw his NP she was nice but I like Dr. Shoemaker better :)

I went to dr shoemaker to get my nexplanon removed from my arm. The nurse told me that the implant was in the wrong spot when they are the ones that put it in in the first place. It was up high on my arm when it was supposed to be down by the elbow. She said that if she tried to take it out it could damage nerves in my arm and could lose feeling in my fingers so she wasn't going to do it. So at this point I'm very worried and scared and they didn't really reassure me or care. His staff was very rude every time I called or scheduled appointments.

I was referd to Dr. Shoemaker by my gynecologist for a bladder repair. He took the time to explain the procedure to me. I was very pleased with the results. I have also started the biote harmone therapy. I feel so much better. Great doctor.

This Doctor sucks he definitely doesn't care about his patients.I went to see him at a time when I was covered by insurance so I could find out why I hadn't been able to have children. I mentioned to him that I had been doing research on the net and there were some avenues I would like to explore to get to the bottom of the problem and his response to me was "I shouldn't believe everything I read on the internet. I left there in tears cuz I felt I wasn't taken seriously. That was when I was 28, now I am 38 my husband passed away. I have no insurance now and no heir for my belated husband.I would never ever recommend this doctor to anyone. As a matter of fact I let all the women I come across not to see him.

I saw Dr. Shoemaker for my current pregnancy. Long story short. He was aware that I had a history of two preterm pregnancies where my children where born with health issues. Just last week at 32 weeks, I started to have serious symptoms of the possible onset of preterm labor. I called and was told to wait the three days for my appointment. So I did. When I went in I explained that I was having contratctions along with more discharge and severe back pain. Basically I was told that everything that I was experiencing was normal and that my next ultrasound would be scheduled around 38 weeks. That is rediculous as I have never made it that far. Basically all my concerns were dismissed and I was sent home with no precaustions what so ever. I got angry and found a doctor that was willing to see me the next day. Not even a week later I started going into preterm labor which thankful to my new doctor they were able to stop. He basically told me that all this most likely could have been prevented if the proper precautions were taken from early on in the second trimester by my other doctor. Dr Shoemaker and his staff didnt' give a crap about what I was saying about my current symptoms and my history of preterm labor. I almost had my baby too early because they didn't want to listen and take the proper precautions. I would definately not recommend this doctor. Not to mention, he wouldn't even spend more than a minute, literally, in the room with me each visit and never touched me to do an exam other than the pap test in the very beginning. Stay away.
