They don't close until 12:30. I showed up at 12. The front door neon sign said OPEN. The drive thru paper sign said closed. There were 3 employees standing within feet of the window who saw me sitting there bc they were directly facing me. One of whom was literally standing at the cash register at the drive thru window. No one came to the window to say they were closed. I then tried to call twice to confirm if they're open or closed bc of the conflicting signs. They had me sit there for a few minutes without helping until I drove away. Def will go out of my way to not give this location my money anymore.

Kolaches!Made a quick stop here to get some donuts and try a new thing I saw from the window display shelf... their kolaches, recommended by a fellow Yelper in Cali (thanks, Chuck!). While I know I wanted a couple of glazed donuts I had to try the kolaches too. I'm not sure if they are sold exclusively in Texas but this is the first time I am having them.Kolaches are a Czech pastry. They were originally brought to the US by Czech immigrants from the Czech Republic. It is a breakfast item and can have sausage, eggs, cheese, or any creative delicacies in it. Wish I had tried my first Texas kolaches at a bakery or shop specializing on these treats but I'll have my first bite here at Shipley's Donuts. They are not very big so I got two with sausage & cheese in them. They also have available Jalapeño sausage cheese and Ham & cheese. Freshly baked and soft. Really good! They are the shape and size of our señorita bread. I suppose they can come in different shapes depending on what's in it.Anyway, this location was about 5.7 miles from our WorldMark resort in New Braunfels and close to the on-ramp highway I-35.Review #0712

No maple nut donuts. The sausage in the kolaches could not be smaller. If you want to play hide and seek with the world's tiniest kolache then buy one from here. Lets take a lump of bread and put a tiny....i mean tiny....really f'n small sausage in it. People will love it.....

We've started coming to this location a month ago to get kolaches and donuts on Saturday mornings. Every weekend, the kolaches were pretty good. I've even gone during the week once this week and got some and they weren't as good as they are on the weekends but it may be because I went later towards the afternoon and not early in the morning when the kolaches are hot and fresh. This weekend, we ordered 15 kolaches and a dozen donuts. I am so disappointed with the kolaches this weekend. Who ever made them today must've we t out last night, got drunk and came in with a hangover and cooked a big batch of "fudged" (you get the point) up kolaches. ALL of the were busted open. Most of the cheese in all of them were cooked out. They were a hot mess!! I couldn't believe they would sell the kolaches like that to their customers. We paid $30 for the 15 kolaches and dozen donuts and I feel it wasn't worth that at all! I am truly unhappy with the quality of their food today. We will take our money to Donut King in the future... at least they are about customer service, they aim to please and their kolaches are always closed. This location needs to "get it together"!

Slow. Terrible kolaches. Had no idea they could be soggy AND hard at the same time. Served cold. Ran out of sausage and cheese, but waited until I had paid to tell me that I either had to wait or get jalapeño. Will be visiting the Schertz location on the way to work from now on, as usual.

Guys don't go here, people here are discussing, the owner is horrible, they have no humanity so ever,me and my boy have an accident really bad they Both owner and staff stand in and look like an animal, mean while I wait for police come and report I walk in side and bought some donuts for the boy school, they haven't opened the mouth and ask me or my boy are you ok? When I started to say how bad it's was the accident the owner told me no no I don't want to hear and I don't care all I care is who fix the side walk, what an animal she is, I really upset why she can open her mouth and say that to me without ask me or my boy are ok. I am going take her pictures and post on New Braunfels community so everyone can see how humanity she is. And
