Please don't judge a book by its cover. San Luis isn't eye a peeling but you are not going to get better breakfast tacos anywhere. I been eating here for over 15 yrs and I never miss eating when I'm in town. Tacos 10/10. Service 8/10. Rest of the food 7/10.

Very great place to have breakfast. Robert G, Andrew and Geoffry got the place covered, I ordered per their recommendation, Barbacoa and Tacos de Huevo were both great! I barely finished them. Coffee is weak though and they charge 25cents for to go boxes. Funny story, I let the waitress read Robert G's recommendation, well, the problem was that he recommended Dos tacos which I didn't realize, so I end up ordering two Tacos de Huevo AND one Barbacoa Taco. Not that I'm complaining, but I just couldn't finish all of them. =)My bill come out around 7.50ish which includes three tacos, 1 coffee and togo box. Not bad IMO.

Great food although it did take a while to come out but it came piping hot. No chips served. Tons of coffee refills. Both flour/corn Tortillas are homemade daily

New owner, new menu, new name. Alas, after a couple of decades, my favorite taco joint in Corpus Christi is no more. I am jonesing for their awesome salsa. Even thinking about it has started me to drool. Their corn tortillas were awesome. Does anyone know if their recipes are now being used within a 50-mile radius of CC?

I went to this place with my family. We got a rude waitress she had attitude from the beginning. She took a long time bring the drinks, the Ice tea tasted like it had been sitting there for a week or so! I finally got my food and it was cold and the meat smelled like it was old, so I got up and left customer service says a lot about a business and its food as well!

This is the type of place that you crave when you are away from it... Or if you have ever eaten here, it will be a place you will never forget, and hope to visit again someday. The tortillas are the best in the city, and probably the entire state. The tacos are also outstanding. Barbacoa on the weekends is awesome. I normally get a Carne Asada con Aguacate. Salsa, and pico de gallo are also awesome.Whenever I come back from out of town, I always stop here. It is close the airport, and hits the spot. The longer I have been away, the more I crave the tacos.Prices are great. Don't be nervous about the neighborhood. Semi-industrial area. Has great parking, and you can enter on either side of the restaurant. If you want an out of the way Mexican spot, that has the best tacos around. This is your place.

We stumbled upon San Luis on the way back from the beach and certainly didn't have the experiance shared buy other yelpers. Incredibly slow service, uncleanliness, and mediocre mexican food certainly won't bring us back. Try El Porto instead for a Mexican fix in Corpus.

This was one of my favorite breakfast spots when I lived in CC and after going back last weekend, it's nice to see they are better than ever! The tortillas here are simply the best. Both flour and corn tortillas are made by hand. The flour tortillas huge and thick and fluffy and delicious. The corn tortillas are also pretty big and thick and some of the best I've had.Tacos here are cheap. $1.25 to $2.25 depending on what you get. On top of that, they're huge! The carne guisada is fantastic here. Tender meat and thick gravy. The barbacoa is great too, well seasoned meat. Eggs are hard to screw up and I've never had a problem here. This place is packed on weekends. Be prepared to wait and know that it's worth it!
