Food is good, margaritas were a little flavorless and tasted virgin but I'm sure SOME alcohol was in there, just didn't taste like it. I got chicken strips and the breading had a good flavor. We also ordered chips and salsa and I thought the salsa was really good, great flavor. My son ordered sliced brisket on his burger and they forgot it but then brought out chopped bbq brisket when we did ask where this extra item was. The menu is more like finger foods vs actual meals although they do have actual meals like burgers and salads. I would go again to try something different and see if they can make a margarita the right way. The restaurant was clean, I did like the paper tablecloths.

Great food at a great price. I had the cheeseburger sliders. Excellent service with a personable waitress. Good atmosphere.

Great food, service, and portions!!! Will be heading back soon. The staff made me feel that I was at home. Wish more restaurants could model themselves to Sammy D's.

Chose to go here for Wednesday night date night. We normally don't eat big evening meals so we chose some appetizers. Portions were large!--the boneless wings (the chickens that supplied the wings must have been huge), fried mushrooms (with gravy) and onion rings (these alone are worth the trip to Jourdanton)!! Oh did I mention full bar and happy hour, 3-7pm! We will return! **Also heard from a regular customer the chicken fried steak is really really good! #eatlocal#supportlocal

Driving thru from out of town and stopped last minute. Had hamburger, it was very fresh. Staff very nice even with it almost being closing time. Must try!

Went to Sammy D's for lunch and I ordered the wings. I got 2 flavors, lemon pepper (wet) and garlic Parmesan, and they were amazing! The wings were big and full of flavor. They also have amazing tots and I don't know what the dipping sauce is but it's so good! We waited about 20 mins for our food and it came out hot & fresh. The staff was also very nice and our waitress was very attentive. This place is a gem in our small town and I'm so glad we have a restaurant to go to with a variety of different things.

I had ordered a five cheese grilled cheese with a side or marinara. What I got was a hamburger bun with what appeared to be process cheese and no marinara. I ecpected some kind of grilled bread....not a hamburger bun. I didn't eat it but took it home and gave it to the dog. The owner was walking around talking with customers but never once stopped at our table to see how we were doing. The server never offered drink refills. I will probably not go back because I could make that sandwhich and make it so much better.
