Salty Dog Pet Resort

We have taken our pups here for nail trims, and/or doggy day care once or twice a year for several years. They loved the staff! This trip was different!! We did doggie daycare for our pups, and because of spidey senses, we canceled nail trim after we found out only 1 person on Mondays (and Sundays Just FYI). That person wasn't rude, just not pleasant. She couldn't read page 2 of dogs health records (via email as pdf) so she said they hadn't had shots. They did in Apr 2022, 3 months ago. Finally she figured it out. But every following step was labored. It took us almost 40 mins to get through her paperwork. We almost decided right then not to leave them but had an appt. Previous stays the staff had them outside, playing, socializing. This time no. They SAID they took pups out every 1.5-2 hrs but all had to pee, and poop immediately at 5:15 pm when we picked them up, as if they hadn't been taken out in hours. They were incredibly thirsty too. The staff member said they had a bowl of water, but my one dog isn't shy about drinking water at all. He drank almost 2-3 oz of water in car BY HIMSELF. The other two also drank as if they hadn't had water for hours. We paid for Doggie Day Care. Not sit in a box for 8 hrs. These pups are our family. I don't know what happened there, but we probably won't use them again. A few minutes later when we stopped at shop in Rockport, we told them our story, and they confirmed with their experience.As a note: if using a credit card, they add 3% fee.

I take my 7 month old Belgian Malinois, Stella, here for group play while I'm at work. She absolutely loves the staff and always comes back (thankfully) tired and happy. 100% would and already have recommended Salty Dog Pet Resort to anybody with an energetic fur baby!

I've used salty dog pet resort for not only kenneling when I'm out of town but also for their amazing prices on their doggy spa options! $36 for my dog to be dropped off for 3 hours to get bathed, ears cleaned, nails trimmed, and anal glands flushed! She came out so happy and they added a little bow to her collar !

They are wonderful! We have been bringing our two 80 pound collies to them every two weeks for several years and they always look beautiful when they come home. Our girls get so excited to go visit them on froufrou day and rush to get in the door. Sarah and her team never disappoint and Pauli Girl and Stella Bella are the prettiest girls in Rockport!

I've used their grooming service three times and have been very pleased with their work on my dogs. Staff is very friendly and great to the dogs. I also forgot a grooming appt. and they called me and I apologized and went right down there and they kept the appt. and groomed my dog. There weren't any issues with the staff. They do call the day before to remind you of the appt. too, which is very helpful.I started going to Salty Dog after Madison's in Fulton not only cut my dog's lip, but also left streaks down his back somehow with the clippers! Will never use them again. They never even told me they cut him, I found out after getting home. When I called them about it they didn't even apologize! So, I will stick with Salty Dog Grooming.

They took excellent care of my baby for his first time being boarded! They didn't mind me calling to check in on him and I am so grateful they gave him extra love while I was out of town! Will visit again for my next business trip.

We love salty dog! Staff are so sweet and our dog really enjoys going for daycare! She was nervous at first but now enjoys herself so much!

Absolutely would not recommend. I brought my dog in for a bath, de shedding treatment and a nail trim. He hates having his nails trimmed so we were charged extra for the difficulty, which is understandable. What isn't understandable is that whatever he was bathed with or whatever is used for the de shed has caused his skin to peel out in large patches along with chunks of his hair. I have spent a lot on his skin and coat health so that it is always at its best and ever since his visit he has pretty much been balding. Also when I was on the phone making his appointment, whoever I was speaking with was not very friendly an treated me as if i was a major inconvenience.

I took two dogs in grooming - dog were happy and so were we except when we paid. Each dogs grooming was $10.00 more than the brochure had quoted ($20 for the two). I asked about this and was told price went up and I had an old outdated brochure. Uhm - I would think they would charge the price that was quoted on their brochure - of course we are from out of town and probably never see us again - but wowzer! $42 to $52! Be aware

Never have I ever had such a horrible experience boarding my dogs anywhere. Until I took them here. The staff was very rude and when we picked up our dogs who have always been energetic and happy, looked beyond stressed and were shaking uncontrollably crying in the car. We've boarded them multiple times everywhere since they were puppies and they have NEVER been like this. They also explained one of our dogs was feeling sick and never cared to call and inform us until pick up. Our 3rd pup was also separated from our other 2 without our permission and wouldn't have even known that until I asked. The girls also never told us any information about pick up, and we're not helpful in any way so we also had to pay a day care fee when we picked them up which was an extra $50. When I called prior asking about pick up information, the girl I spoke with on the phone stated that I can pick them up anytime before 6 and never mentioned any of that. Overall, horrible mess and our dogs were stressed out, and STILL sick, We will never be taking our dogs here again.
