Safeguard Mini-Storage

I rented a storage unit at Safe guard off of Corpus Christi NAS last year 2023. Like most things in CC it was nitty gritty blue collar run down used and abused facility. I lived just across the street in a RV community. So it was close to home and it was close to where I worked on NAS Corpus Christi. It was convenient. July 4 2023 my unit was broken into. over 2000 dollars of property was stolen. I received ONE phone call which I missed. The voice message informed me that they noticed the lock was missing. But it was clear that my unit was broken into. It was Four days later when I realized SAFE Guard had called and left a message. Four days days the rest of my property was left exposed to more theft because they put no priority on my property to call me again. Three other units at this foul business were also broken into that weekend. They didn't call the police or file a report with the local police.The lighting was severely inefficient. (IT WAS DARK AT NIGHT)Most of the bulbs were broken and not fixed. Minimal security cameras and the few that were there looked fifty years old. After walking the property it was clear the lock lasps on the units many have been broken into. They don't improve the integrity of their locks. They just have "patches" to fix the broken into locks. Or they just replace the broken into locks with the same type of failed locks. Do not use this facility. Many attempts made to speak to management thru email and phone calls. Crickets. Was told by a worker that she didn't have a supervisor. Sorry. SMH. Was going to sue them but with the luck of the gods I obtained employment which enabled me to move from that wretched city. I can't prove this at all. But I really believe that the theft of property was an inside job. Too much to write on this review to go into detail.Very important to note...The video surveillance showed the thief had the gate code and entered freely through the gate. THREE months after the theft of my property the gate code WAS NEVER CHANGED. NEVER. I kept an open account with them only to document in my law suit that they NEVER CHANGED the codes to the gate. Or made any other improvements to prevent theft at this storage facility.

My family has been thru great hardship this past year; its been almost unbearable. Facing another crisis we have to move. After visiting three other facilities I came across safeguard. This facility has been a godsend!!! Alvie was so helpful and informative. She went above and beyond any expeditions I could've hoped for!!! I am confident my belongings will be safe with Alvie at Safeguard! Thanks so much!!!!

I like that its right off of the Freeway. convenient gate hours and nice wide driveways. The place was lite up like the 4th of July at night. I really appreciate the customer service i received throughout our stay, I would highly recommend this storage
